I have a few requests I noted over time, just posting them all together here. Seems like console discussion forum is always crickets so I’m posting this here, though really most of anything referencing “console” really just means controller interface (as compared to mkb) which I think is the same on PC as console then? Either way …
- Console - it’s really hard to read active buffs/debuffs/stats while they’re active. It makes measuring specific numbers during temporary effects very difficult.
- Console - difficult chat UI. Please add an option to auto-show chat or messages received. I think I have noticed sometimes they may show up automatically, but I can’t recall. I usually just see the little notification and have to open up chat each time. I would like an option that I can open chat window and it will leave it “active” so after inactivity it will fade old messages away, but new messages will still show up. I think it may do this in party chat where I don’t have to re-open it everytime, but I can’t really remember. This only comes up when I’m on console and playing with people on PC.
- Add mouse/keyboard support for console please!! (Specifically PS5). This would also help with chat UI and basically all the other UI issues caused by controller limitations.
- Console - option to change active status prior to logging in to game (or from character menu) or view Friends list (my workaround has been using battlenet app on phone)
- Voice chat – would be nice to be able to modify the volume of individual party members (sometimes their mics are too loud or quiet, changing master sound affects everyone.)
- Combat log please - would be nice to be able to verify specific numbers for analysis purposes.
- Records/Stats page that shows things like, total monster kills, biggest crit, hours played, highest level NMD completed and clear time, etc.
- Loot Filter - to help with sorting through gear found, can have it highlight items with specific desired slot, aspects, affixes, or ranges so you don’t have to look through every single piece every drop. Ideally also could auto salvage items not in desired ranges so you would only see drops you were looking for. This would save soooooo much time spent dealing with inventory/vendors and solve issues like too much loot in Vaults but not being able to leave without losing Zoltun’s Warding.
- Don’t boot for inactivity if actively speaking in voice chat AND/OR actively viewing/moving inventory. What the heck.
- This is a moot point now but back in season 2 midwinter event, Gileon’s song cancelled out enchanting when choosing. After song ended, choices were gone but money/resources spent as if I chose “no change” so it also had higher costs to redo! Wtf. Please be careful when adding things that would override UI menus, such as enchanting. They need to default back to where you were at so you aren’t penalized.
- PLEASE add the option to view Title below my character. I don’t know if PC can view it, but on console I only notice it if I’m playing co-op I believe? I would love to see my own title below my character in-game…

On PC, I can’t see my title either. Just other players.
About the only suggestion you’ve given that we wish is coming is the Loot Filter, sadly we don’t know when/if or how detailed it will be. I’d have no issues with your other suggestions though, giving you a heart.

Yeah the UI blows!
I want info in front of me, I hate digging through menus.
I’m a big fan of Titan Panel, used it in WoW for decades, all the important info top of screen and right where you can actually see it, funny I know.
Combat log would be cool, seeing your own title and stuff is legit, I’d like that too.
I’m a serial AFKer, I get booted all the time but if I got booted while doing something in game I’d grab for the ketchup too.
I want to mouse over “Ores” at the top of my UI and a drop down list will show me what I have, same for herbs and other mats.
I’m just tired of clicking through menus to get basic info is all.

Good luck with your requests.
As a PC user: Mousing over the Elixir for example - not even numerical mm:ss indication of time remaining. Only graphical.
I say this to warn you to…not hold your breath for any changes or improvements with such a simple thing like ‘Time Remaining’ on tooltip being totally absent since Beta.
When I open my Material panel and collapse X# of fields - they should stay closed.
Sadly they all reopen upon closing panel.
I do this when checking Forgotten Souls during a helltide for example. Everything just resets.
Same for other interface screens. Collapse or at least remain, without reset, wherever we left off in Main Stats menu, Paragon Board, Skill Tree etc. It’s a pain for checking items, buffs, comparisons when everything resets when it’s closed and it is scroll, drag each time back to where we want to be focused on.
Minor things, but details matter.
p.s. Some day we’ll have 100% zoom-OUT capability for Paragon. Probably 2026 or 27.

For PC I’d like a high resolution UI and the ability to shrink it 50% or more. A UI taking up nearly 1/3 the visible screen is ridiculous.

Don’t forget about picking up that one item in a mess of items! Just walk toward, away, up, down, left, right, eventually you will highlight it

Haha yeah that’s actually a little funny sometimes.
I do honestly miss the “reduced” D3 loot 1.5 layout thing they started with console and added to loot 2.0 (I think that was the order?) where you could simplify loot drops to little icons of the item type and rarity color. It made it so much easier to see things and easier to grab stuff too.
And I really hate to say this and never thought I would, but there were actually a lot of things I miss from D3 that didn’t roll over or get improved with D4. It feels weird in a lot of ways, like there are some major options and customizations missing (and a lot of stuff outside of the UI alone with the gameplay and systems in general).

Yea I was thinking that when I was typing this out. That was one I had added to my list early back in pre-season or S1, but at least they’re supposedly working on big changes for S4.
I just worry that outside of these UI things and whatnot, the game needs pretty foundational systems reworked or added, including even the classes and ability trees themselves reworked. Hell, even just a PTR so they can iron out bugs before releasing them and shooting themselves in the foot. There have been a ton of really good suggestions out there, from pretty prominent content creators to lowly casuals (lifelong fan though) like myself.
To their credit, they’ve already made a massive amt of improvements to this game since beta weekends, and show they really are listening to feedback. But I also suspect the majority of the issues we’re seeing including the lack of PTR are due to them being forced to rush through things and sticking to release and season schedules because of execs who are concerned with quarterly earnings reports and stuff. They really have their hands full and are surely fighting a war on both fronts trying to manage expectations. Game would’ve really benefitted from having an Early Access for a year or two so they could’ve continued ironing things out, developing end game systems and UI etc without the pressure of needing it to be 1.0 release worthy with virtually no real beta.

Sadly they all reopen upon closing panel.
They expand when the count of any material in the relevant section changes, sadly. I too would love it if this didn’t happen…
I just wanna see the middle panel to track my masterworking mats… 99% of the time I don’t care about anything else!
