Ugly characters means less money spent on the Blizzard store

My character is so ugly and uncustomizable, that I literally don;t care what tehy look like at all. I’m not even interested in transmogrifying my gear, because I don;t care, and I usually do care about stuff like that. I certainly won;t ever spend real money on cosmetics, because what’s the point of putting flaming wings on an ugly, uncustomizable character?

Now admittedly, ugly is a person prefrencce, some people might want to make their characters even uglier and really dig that. Fine with me, everybody should be able to customize as much as they want. But if you’re going to lock us in to lumpy looking ugly characters that are poorly designed and rendered and not give us an option to customize, don;t expecty us to spend money on cosmetics for our characters.

Im dissapoint with that.
This is Diablo, not Street Fighter or Fortnite.
Ugly characters, or rather normal characters makes this game more serious and realistic.

If you want the characters to look like the one in the following photo:

Then, I think this game doesnt fit your tastes. :expressionless:

What class are you playing? Most of them look good.

my wife 100% agrees for the druid class. Half the fun for her is customizing her character looks.

But the entire plan is to sell cosmetics that will make your ugly character not ugly!

What’s the problem? All classes look like someone of their class should, e.g., druids look like powerlifters.

The character art models are decent but the customization are kind of wack. A lot of the body tattoos look silly and the colors don’t jive. I am blonde and try to make blonde characters and the blonde color pallet is wack. None of the colors look like real blonde. They have this washed out look.

They really do need more faces and hairstyles. Most of the hairstyles I find to be meh and 4 faces are not nearly enough.

I wish piercings were separate. A lot of the earrings I like come with nose rings which I don’t always want. Not high up on the to do list but just would be nice.

Why are you against more customization and people choosing to be good looking if they want?

Are you really trying to lecture Blizzard? What an exercise in futility. Also green text forum MVP’s aren’t Blizzard employees

Not employees? You mean people make posts like that and aren’t getting paid?! Man the internet has really soured over the years. My apologies, please forward my post toward the nearest community manager Vicebacker I am sorry lol!

They are not but they are basically people who are endorsed by Blizzard and thus an extension of their approval.

No no no. MVPs do not work for Blizzard. They don’t speak for, or represent, Blizzard. MVPs are other players who usually provide info/tech/customer support links. Provide basic game info.

They ALSO are allowed to have their own opinions provided they don’t break the forum rules.

The green text can’t be turned off so if someone who is a Tech/CS MVP for another game wants to post, it is still green. I think that is who Vicebacker is. TS/CS player MVP for the South Americas region.

I thought she looked frail, thin, a bit wasted on dark magic and death. I did not think she looked like a guy, although there are enough customization options to blur lines if someone wanted.

Realism is important. I wouldn’t want to shapeshift in to something that doesn’t seem real. Like in real life, when i summon a hurricane i expect it to only do 17 damage, just like a real hurricane would.

Yeah I’m not the biggest fan of the character creator either. Needs more hair and face options the facial hair is by far the worst of the options available, I’m sure they’ll sell more down the road though.

Those things sound like a lot of fun, even if you can’t really see them in game. They are visible in the char creation, login, and Wardrobe windows.

I can sort of answer your question though. Blizzard does not have much for char customization overall. Sliders are not their thing, even in WoW. There are usually static options off a menu.

NetEase is the partner for Diablo Immortal. That is a Chinese company who partners with Blizzard so that Blizz can legally release some content in China. China requires total Chinese control. They actually partnered on the development of DI too. I THINK that engine is from NetEase mobile games hence has diff char features built in . That is my guess on it anyway. It would explain why it is so different from Blizzard games.

My personal wishes? More hairstyles, more faces, fix the blonde/light colors so they don’t look so washed out and streaky.

Except no one agrees with your post and a lot of people agree with his post.

I sure as hell won’t be spending any money on cosmetics on such classes as Druid because I find them so visually unappealing. It’s in Blizzards interest to offer body sliders, their financial interest even if they are going with the cosmetic model to fund the game.
