Uber Uniques. I don't get it. Let me comprehend that

Blizzard understood that we want some kind of target farming and added uniques to helltide chests. Somehow they missed, that characters, that don’t have a specific unique in their “smart loot pool” the only option is one of the huber uniques. The message spreaded fast and people flooded Helltides with their barbs, sorcs and every other character they had at hand. The game was fun, the hunt was finally at a point where you had a reasonable chance to obtain the only items you are chasing for after reaching level 100 and leveled your glyphs… They checked the numbers on drops, but missed how many people logged in and went for the hunt?
Of course they had to fix that bug… But seriously, didn’t they realise how many people jumped into the game, that it finally was worth spending more time on your endgame char? So why on earth they didn’t buff the drop chances? What is the plan here? Please help me to understand this.

Yes, I read a lot of people stating, those items are not that good and you can play the game without them just fine. Okay that’s true. However, they are (at least for some classes) the only way to define a new build or be in a state where some content becomes more accessable, like more DMG Reduction and +4 to dark shroud on a rouge as an example. So of course you don’t need them. But you want them. That’s pretty obvious. So, if those items are so extremely rar, why are they account bound and have random stat ranges? The random ranges are fine, but not if only a hand full of people will see them once in their lifes at best, that just doesn’t make any sense. But it becomes worse. So thinking about how item drops work, the only logical sequence is:

  • Is it a normal, magic, rare, legendary or unique item?
  • What’s the item power?
  • Whats the 4 affixes?
  • Whats the ranges of those affixes?

So, if you get lucky and the first check is “unique” then it selects one from the unique pool that are supposed to drop based on the smart loot. If that hits an uber unique, item power and affixes are not rolled out, but only the ranges generated an that’s it. So far so good. Now they announced more uniques so while the first check “what kind of item it is” remains the same, is the pool to choose from (which legendary or unique) growing, which effectivly lowers drop chances even more. So that means, if you didn’t find it now, chances become lower and lower and at season 10 practically speaking most of the items are no longer in the game for most people, so hunting for a specific build becomes very hard, uber uniques will drop basically never. And yet again, we are talking about items, that are bound to your account, there is no chance to trade it, no chance to find it and even if you do, it might be very badly rolled. I just don’t get it. It’s totally fine, that they don’t drop like candies, but having a reasonable chance to work towards them, if you want to play a specific build or just want to have the best items in the game, there should be a way to get them. Just pure randomness at a basically impossible level is pointless…

Why they just don’t raise the drop chances?
