RNG is fine. But my goodness… Getting the same Uber 7 times in a row is pretty nuts.
After getting my first Harlequin Crest, my next goal was to obtain The Grandfather sword. Before this sword had actually dropped, I had found another 7 Crests and 3 Andariels before it dropped. It was WEEKS of constant grinding, yet my uncle had gotten the sword right away, so he was able to enjoy PvP, AoZ, etc… while I was stuck in the maggot cave… cursing the game.
Duplicates… A major issue that makes the Duriel grind much worse.
Why can’t we target farm Uber Uniques, yet keep the same low drop chance?
EXAMPLE:
Uber Duriel: Chance to get The Harlequin Crest
Uber Andariel (add it): Chance to get Andariel’s Vissage
Uber Grigoire: Chance to get Ahavarion
Uber Varshan: Chance to get The Grandfather
Uber Ice Beast: Chance to get Doombringer
Uber Astaroth (add it): Chance to get Melted Heart
It will still be a grind. However, at least this way it will change it up a tad and prevent duplicates. The dev team mentioned how they are working on a way to prevent duplicates, so this would work.

My RnG is bad in S2. 0 ubers but I’m with you. I don’t like farming the same Duriel for Ubers. I want other avenues of getting them. Sure, you can get them from NM and open world probably with 0.000000000001 chance (exaggerated).
What I’m suggesting is give other avenues equal Uber rates for their assigned Uber drop. Uber bosses are way easier compare to higher tier NM dungeons and these dungeons are basically useless when it comes to rewards. It’s really just a build and ego check and with the advent of AoZ, AoZ became the preferred measuring stick.

Ugh. I just can’t do Duriel again… But I have to if I want to be competitive in their whole Leaderboard reward system etc.
F! that leaderboard. Now that you reminded me of it. I didn’t realize I’ll have to rely on Duriel again if I want a better shot of the leaderboards. I wish there’s a section in the leaderboards for folks without Uber.
Blizz just realized this. Next time, it would be replaced with NO DROPS if it’s a duplicate. Would you be happy?
No. I’d still have to farm the same boss over and over and over and over again.

I could handle only 20 Duriel runs before I stopped and I don’t see doing any for S3. It put me to sleep and I rather just start a fresh character before I get stuck in the loop of boredom.
This is a decent idea. Expansion of it:
Uber Duriel: Mats gained from running other 6 bosses below: Only 1 mat needed.
Uber Andariel: Mats gained from completing cursed chests / shrines
Uber Grigoire: Mats gained from helltide chests
Uber Varshan: Mats gained from Whisper Quests
Uber Ice Beast: Mats gained from NM dungeon 30+
Uber Astaroth: Mats gained from Mats gained from NM dungeon 60+
Uber ???: Ring of Starless Skies - Mats gained from converting obals
All materials are bound. Only summoner gets ubers or duriel mats.
Players can still do rotas if they want and get high item power gear. (no ubers though)
Guys… Gauntlet and vaults is not gonna be like AoZ, so there’s really no need to be pushing for Ubers to progress
What if they added more “Uber Duriel” bosses, that were also level 100, dropped 925 loot, but had their own set of Uber Uniques they could drop? Slim down the materials to summon them into 1 or two universal materials.
So for example Varsh & Grigoire would just have one item you could use to summon both respectfully, Saint’s Blood we’ll call it. They’re both level 75, makes sense to me. They would drop one of the items used to summon Duriel. Both of these bosses would drop it mind you.
Lord Zir & The Beast in Ice would require Black Ice, that could summon both of them, since they’re both level 80. Also dropping one of the items required to summon Duriel, again, both bosses can drop the item.
Then have those 2 items for Duriel and maybe 3 other bosses like him at level 100, each with their own Uber Uniques they can drop spread out amongst them. May need to tweak the number of bosses but you get the idea.
Would that work? Or am I overthinking it?
Yes, they did.
Blizzard has stated that they’ve heard the feedback on both receiving duplicate Uber Unique drops and on the accessibility of Boss summoning materials, and are looking into the situation for the future.

You seriously trying to have a conversation with controlalt? The same guy that says nuh-uh on BL being a bug when devs said it was bug fixed. Once you say you know better than the actual devs on what is and isnt a bug after they have stated it 100% clearly then how do you get through to this person? You cant. Have to move on.

I do that too sometimes but I been better lately. Curiosity is always there but has to be kept in check by logic. We ignored for a reason. Must not keep interacting!

Uber Duriel for uber items SUX !!!, and make me sick. Uber items should be dropped randomly anywhere and more likely to get in the most difficult dungeon, the higher tier/difficulty the higher drop rate.
