I’m frustrated by how impossible it is to fight uber bosses solo. In my experience, I reach max level, gather the required materials, gear up to what I believe is optimal across the game, use potions to boost survival odds, and prepare meticulously with incense. However, when I summon the uber boss using extra materials, it kills me with one hit before I can make a dent in its health bar. The time wasted to reach this point has shown me that at end game, multiplayer feels like a paywall. Since I don’t subscribe to PSN on PS4, I cannot progress much farther because I need gear dropped from these uber bosses, which seem to require top builds or a group to defeat.Why lock players out of content without clearly stating that some content, besides PvP, is exclusively for groups? Diablo 3 never restricted me from content as a solo player.Here are my suggestions: What if we remove the limit on Paragon points we can acquire? Additionally, instead of only obtaining sacred items in tier 3 at max level, why not also drop ancestral items in tier 3 after reaching max level, allowing casual players the chance to become strong enough to tackle all content?My proposal is this: While you aim to provide more of a challenge in multiplayer, why not scale uber bosses accordingly? Calculate the average level of each player in the instance and adjust the difficulty accordingly. Currently, some end game content feels like playing Diablo 3 at the highest Torment 20 difficulty with limited Paragon levels and gear from lower difficulties, such as tier 1.
Yes, the game is unfortunately better for group players in almost every way but tormented bosses are soloable. In fact, I have multiple classes that have done so in S3 and S4. Also, I play purely solo except for those open world moments.
I play solo and tormented bosses ARE killable as the above guy(or girl) said. The thing that stuck out the most to me though is that you cant kill them without their drops because you have to have THEIR drops. I dont want to say your olaying it wrong but if your build needs an uber unique to function there is in fact a problem there. I do not use any uber uniques at all. Well rolled Legendaries with proper tempers and aspects are MORE than enough. Obviously you will need to masterwork your gear but that comes from the PIT not Ubers. Also your paragon board should have at least 5 glyphs level 15 at minimum but realistically should be at 21. Those generally have more multipliers which, when used properly, can give you a ton more damage as well. I noticed a LOT of people only have 3 boards unlocked and thats just painful to hear/see and causes issues in the endgame
There were no Tormented bosses in S3. Tormented bosses are the lvl200 versions that were introduced in S4.
Tormented bosses can be soloed, but not casually. Simply getting to lvl100 is not enough. My druid was able to do Tormented Duriel when i was farming pit70 and the only unique i was wearing was godslayer crown. I had mostly 4/12 masterwork with a couple 8/12.
You’re gonna have to scale your defense: 9300 armor, max resist, piles of DR… and you’re gonna have to scale your damage. If you can’t farm pit in the 70s and push into 80-90s, then that’s a good indicator that you’re not ready yet and you need to keep scaling your build or pick a stronger build.
The endgame is scaled to challenge barbarians… so the rest of us are going to have to work a lot harder or roll a barb.
For me, I got to about Pit 30, realized I need to get stronger to push further pits, hence trying to hunt uber bosses and gettingvone shot by them. The difficulty of pit 70 seems to me like its reserved for the hardcore players and not really for casual (or disabled despite Blizzard making a big deal about the game being disabled friendly) gamers. The higherclevel bosses dont telegraph their attacks in a wayvthat humans can react without memorizing their attack patterns, and its so cumbersome to resummon these bosses enough times to learn their attack patters with some sort of margin of error. A think that kept D3`s seasons going wzs to get rewarded for the time put into the game the more you play,.t he stronger you get, the more you can explore. D4 has too many limitations hampering the ability to keep playing and build characters. Instead we have to push for gear and only specific builds are allowed to make that push. Thats why I ask they at least stop capping paragon at level 100, before the game was released, I remember being told the original paragon cap was 950. It makes no sense to cut paragon off at level 100, if I felt too weak, at least let me put in some effort into filling out my paragon cards to build armor, attack and resistances by playing the game in a straightforward manor instead of depending on limited dice rolls.
So you’re an idiot who refuses to acknowledge that you’re doing content that’s out of your ability range. Also that you’re an idiot because you can’t use youtube to check all the bosses movements without wasting materials.
Unnecessary rhetoric coupled with spelling errors galore, in which your claim of idiocy is rather ironic.
Playing difficult content, especially ARPGs as this, shouldnt be solely dependent on your gear. Playing out of your range should be rewarding in the sense that you may take longer to take out the boss, but if you can play the mechanics you can win; eventually.
It is a nice change of pace for players to play a game and not absolutely steam roll it. I will fully acknowledge that all the power scaling starts with the proper gear, so it isnt a farfetched concept that proper gear is a milestone of necessity. But skill should definitely play a hand as well.
@Icarium81
Before attempting to insult people, learn how to spell.
Sincerely, someone who is better than you at the game.
Fixed it, doesn’t change the facts that you’re terrible at the game.
