Tyrant King Brol

This guy in impossible to kill. I have tried Flurry, TB, Pen. Arrow, and Rapid Fire and nothing kills this guy. It wouldn’t be to bad if it weren’t for the adds. This game was fun up until this point. Can’t even finish the campaign now on WT1.

I can from personal experience tell you that he can definitely be beaten. I’m playing HC, so I only met him that once time and beat him, without that much of an issue.

I’m not saying this to reiterate the classic “Git good noob” sentiment that tend to be prevalent online, but just to underline that it’s definitely manageable!

When you say you’ve tried different builds, have you then tried some actual consistent builds or just picked some stuff that sounded nice? Cause there are a ton of mechanics and synergies you might be overlooking. Puncture and Poison imbuement is for instance great against bosses.

Have you tried optimizing your gear?
And if you’re happy with your current gear have up upgraded it as much as you can?
Have you optimized sockets? Skulls on rings/amulets for armor, rubies for health and emeralds on weapons for crit dam should work well against Brol

Keep at it. Brol is definitely beatable as rogue and you can do it!

I also died 2 times fighting this guy on WT1!! He hits hard, runs fast, stuns and has load of adds. It’s definitely a sudden spike in difficulty.

I wanted to beat him “fair and square”, but I wanted to finish the story sooner and reach WT3 more! So in the end I just poison trap, and run around until it dies and move on with the story.

You can beat team with penetrating shot and barely get hit. Keep imbues up, combo point 3x basic, 1 x penetrating shot, run in circles around him. Shadow step behind his swings, dark shroud for damage reduction for the occasional hit.

It takes a while, but it’s just a patience game. He’s very easy to avoid.

It is certainly a tough fight because of the stuns and because he is a damage sponge, but he can be beaten.
I ran shadow imbue with poison traps for damage and concealment and dark shroud for defense/mobility.
Takes some patience and you definitely can’t face tank him, and as a rogue you shouldn’t.

I did him last night, lvl 29, vet II.

I used a kite & co trol build using poison bomb, caltrops, dash, concealment (passive that heals you for 36% hp, used maybe 1 potion) paired with puncture/penetrating shot.

After dying 5 times I came to this forum and saw your post about poison trap… and… it worked the first time I tried. But indeed, feels a bit like cheating :relieved:. Anyway thanks for the help!

I don’t remember much about this fight, but I want to say that this is one good example of why we need to be able to repeatedly fight the campaign bosses.

The player base can’t even share their experiences with these ‘memorable villains’.

They literally just need to add a list of instanced boss fights that the players can access at any time, or with some keys that can be crafted/dropped. Call it ‘echo of XXX’ or smth

That is why I wrote this other post. Would be nice if people could reply to that and bump that thread if they liked the idea.
