One of the best things this season (season 5) is the ability to avoid the Pit altogether. I get all my master working mats from hordes way faster than I ever got it from pits. Now you want to force me to level my glyphs thru the pit. Just made my decision to not order the expansion and stop playing simple. Unless this decision is cancelled I will stop playing D4. The pit is boring the end bosses in it getting debuffs was a terrible idea. No thanks to forcing me to play it and guess I will never get mats to summon beast in the ice either.
I disagree. I think they made a lot of good decisions for the expansion/next season. I’m looking forward to actually trying it out before I rush to any judgments.
I like pit better than hordes
Come now, OPs issue isn’t a try it and see issue. He knows what PIT is and moving glyph upgrades into it forces him to do it. He doesn’t need to try that to understand it.
I totally agree
I’ve been playing Diablo 4 since it came out, with 1500 hours of gameplay
and the pit is the most boring part of the game, it’s always the same
The only thing it’s good for is to check how much damage your build does to the boss
I think the hordes have been a great idea, to get materials, infra iron, etc… to be able to advance better, returning to the pit is to go back on what you’ve advanced.
I think he should have continued with the hordes and added the option to level up glyphs at the end of the horde, even the NMDs are more entertaining than the pit, for me the pit was always very boring.
Well i’m glad you guys aren’t in charge of development. You’d have us doing horde and nothing else in endgame and that would be pointless. I’m looking forward to the pit and nmd having a suitable purpose next season, along with all the other varied activities for different purposes. It’s gonna be great.
The Pit would be entertaining if it had the elements of NMD
but the PIT always the same thing, advance to get to the boss,
they should remove the time limit of the PIT
and make it like the NMD where you have to do certain tasks like killing the elite enemies to get the key to the door, etc…
that is more entertaining but doing the same thing over and over again is boring.
No. That would be stupid. We already have nightmare dungeons and they finally figured out how to make them not suck… by taking glyphs away from them. Now you want them to make the pit suck the same way?
The pit is designed to grind ™. It’s a race to the end, encouraging efficiency. This is perfect for leveling glyphs.
The pit was just implemented last season. Of course they are going to try to make you do it and keep that content relevant. They let it go this season and just let us have everything in infernal horde because everything is changing and they apparently learned how to pick their battles (at least for one instance). There’s no way that was going to remain how it is though.
This is better. You’re wrong.
Thanks, but you are 100 percent wrong. The pit does not drop items along the way. So you want to speed though to the end. This is perfect for glyphs and should have always been the case. Speeding through a dungeon with chests and events… yeah that was backwards already.
Goodbye. We will miss you. But the real reason to quit is that the new items system has ruined the game. Playing for hours and only get 3 ancestral items… 2 of which had useless stats and low end rolls? Then bricking the Ring SINCE only ancestral items have 2 tempers now, AND NOW these drop like once every 100 items now. The system is terrible! UNPLAYABLE! Which is sad because they just fixed the item system only to ruin the game on the next rework by… wait for it… totally redoing the whole items system again. sad
90% of people who play Diablo 4 don’t care about efficiency. They just want to have fun after they get home from work, on the weekend, etc.
The only basic reason you play a game is to have fun.
93% of statistics are made up.
Agreed, even if I would prefer other ways to level glyphs, but that ship has sailed apparently. If I had to only pick one method to obtain glyph levels, the pits would be it for sure.
We’re literally going to be leveling our glyphs to 100 in the Pits, I would rather not prolong that process by turning them back into NMD that take considerably longer.
Does it take you longer to do a NMD than a Pit?
It doesn’t take me even 2 minutes to finish a NMD, I do the task that it asks you to do inside the dungeon without stopping or picking up anything and I go straight to kill the boss
In 10 minutes I can do 5 or 6 NMDs
However, in the pit it’s 2 minutes to kill the elites, 5 minutes to kill the boss.
And then they talk about efficiency, what is more efficient to raise glyphs as quickly as possible? A pit that takes you between 5 or 7 minutes or a NMD that in the time you do two pits you have already done 5 or 6 NMDs.
My CL sorcerer farms pit 101 in 2-3 minutes.
78.63% of statistics are made up on the spot. **
I was referring to a pit of 130-140
With the sorcerer I have, you can get a pit of 130 as I said
Elites 2 minutes, boss 5 minutes
Well you’re doing it wrong. Pit 130 isn’t for farming.
