The necromancer aspect of the stream was a joke.
You at a point was proud of buffing book of the dead on necro in season 4.
But forgot to say you nerfed the minion damage to season 5. The only strong minion in season 4 was golem, and you make a nerf to all minions.
You buffed blood skills which is not what every player want to play, and made a nerf to all other build options.
You still nuked shadow damage, and do not realise it’s the wrong place to make the nerf.
It was ebonpierce amulet that made necro do great damage, and you made a overall shadow nerf which nukes all shadow builds, also minion builds. So only blood builds is worth playing on necromancer now.
And the reason i abandon this season. you have failed on necromancer this time. Now minion and shadow builds which i was playing is nuked down to sorceress level.
The most disappointing campfire chat so far.
Hope you bring necromancer back to season 6 or at least season 7, do not have much hope for season 6.
And only showed blood uniques, which i could not care less about.
So good to know how bad this is gonna be before trying it, ty for that, saved me the time to even consider it.
Pray for a better future of my favorite class.

I don’t get the balancing in this game. I just dont get it. Back and forth. Buff this, nerf that. Over and over. I’d hate to see blizzard make a fighting game. I haven’t played overwatch but i bet that’s a mess. I’m starting to think this isn’t meant to be an amazing game. Its not bad. It’s got a great foundation. Watch the expansion be an absolute mess. Patches for the patches.

If they cant make builds themself they should atleast check out the builds on some sites give them the best items ingame and fight the dummy , check numbers and balance around that. Its not even that hard , it doesnt need every skill the same dmg but they shud be 10-20% from eachother at most.

It is entertaining watching people going off if they do not receive the buffs/upgrades they wanted with every patch.

I did not catch the stream. Did they really nerf necro or is this all hyperbole?

Necromancer is destroyed.
Literally all necromancer unique items have been destroyed.
Removed all the useful stats on most of them.
Just went through all unique items and maybe one item of them all will be used, rest is pure trash.
They simply nuked the class to oblivion. Skill tree, paragon and items, have all got the nerf hammer.
Just look at the unique items and see by yourself. Time to move on, this was the nail in the coffin for me. My favorite class is gone. We are now what sorceress have been all the time. Guess they needed one class to not work, and they got it.

Lol, just read it all, and there seems to be multiple interesting things =o
I wonder which part has been nerfed, according to him?

Rage first, play later mentality is strong with this one.

Bosses are also getting nerfed across the board. It may not be as bad as it seems.
It’s nerf in like removed important stats like cooldown reduction, resource generation, and maximum resource on some items.
Nova size on black river. Huge nerf to damage over time, shadow damage on the skill tree. And and over 50% damage nerf on ebonpiercer, and even removed movement speed on it as well.
If you compare with what the items were, you can easy see it’s a nerf.
And the damage increase via core stats is like nothing. If you can not see it’s a nerf i guess you have not played much necromancer.
None of the class unique items are useful anymore.
Damage multiplier have also been removed on some items. It’s like they do not want necromancer to do anything this season. Beside maybe bonespirit, and that’s it.

well at least this time they don’t blame barb lol
they nerfed Ebonpiecer amu too LOL, and kept the huge nerf on Blighted aspect, I don’t think they added any compensation to shadow build despite a lot of people voicing on it including streamers…
Just face the fact shadow is kind of dead for S5. Just play blood or bone.
Ebonpiercer needed nerfing. They’ve actually changed it to buff blight. Which is what it needed.
With all of the other changes, necro shadow is likely going to be comparable with S4, and blood will be at or better (as it should be, as the majority of necro have wanted a good blood build for a year).
I don’t see any actual nerfs atm. I’ll wait to see how it feels though, after I’ve capped my Axial Conduit Sorc.
yeah Barbnation hater on this forum are crazy lol
I thought they only buffed core skill damage to blight, which does not make up for the huge nerf to blighted aspect, as i understand the damage doesn’t even come from blight skill lol but they buffed the based dmg on the skill.
And the cap 1200 int for wither node is detrimental too for shadow build
Not really haven’t played in a month, and see no season to play season 5 because of the nerf hammer, and the fact it all gets reworked yet again in season 6.
They need to remake all items to fit the new max level. So it’s a complete overhaul again like they do now.
Even bigger in season 6.
And they have never hit the right spot the first time. So much can go wrong on expansion release and season 6, if they do not make adjustment on every single aspect of the game with the level change.
Personal i think season 6 will be a disaster at start, and they will need season 6 to try fix it all. So might stay away until season 7. And if i haven’t found a new game by then, then i will be back there.
Overall the initial nerfs to blight build dropped its damage by about 70%.
We’re getting roughly a 50% buff (give or take) through core skill and core stat changes across the board. Ebonpiercer gives us stats that help buff blight too.
Some of the other changes will likely buff blight by another +20% fairly easily, putting it back on par with S4.
For instance, core skills (all skills i think) now get 25% multiplier from core stats. We also get more damage multiplier from core stats, and more core stats on gear (uniques specifically). Buffing the base damage and base multiploer will be pretty big, it will make things scale where they never did before.
Then you look at the boss hp changes, wt4 boss health is now lower than wt3 boss health, and they only do 66% of the damage they did.
We’ll feel at LEAST as powerful as we did. I’m sure macro is already working on spreadsheets to show what the class changes impacts us, so we’ll have that in a few days at most probably.

As a summoner, the only change that may be good is mendeln ring (now get +1 to skellys warrior/mage/golem all at once)
The new version has potential to get +2 or +3 to all minons masteries with GA and masterwork.
Still, they lose the perfect moment to improve kalan edict to compensate blighted aspect nerf…
We need to test on pratice first, i remeber all rogues crying in season 4, and ended up being a class with more S tier builds (maxroll rank).
