I am trying really hard to make this build work in s5, but the aoe damage is really really low. It’s not that bad in the pit and vs bosses, but I can’t play the hordes. I get like 100-200 aether on a single run, it’s not possible to kill the mobs fast enough.
Any advice? I am close to giving up and switching to marksman. I’ve been experimenting with the Umbracrux, shadow imbuement, X’fal’s Corroded Signet to improve the aoe but it’s all not enough. My bad luck with drops doesn’t help as I have 0 ubers and Starless Skies ring would be really useful now.
Melee rogue still feels B tier compared to Ranged. Honestly while leveling I felt like Flurry was better at procing bursting venoms, didn’t test it but wouldn’t be surprised if Twisting Blades lost its value in any kind of build.

It’s really a shame that they nerfed Twisting Blades so hard. Season 1 & 2 it was the most fun build I’ve ever played in any ARPG. Now it’s mid.
Not like it was more OP than any of the current meta builds. They nerfed it way too hard.

Twisting Blades could use some good unique because there is none.
It seems the rng gods have blessed me and Andariel’s Visage + GA Fists of Fate dropped for me yesterday. Now the build instantly went to an A tier, the aoe is not bad and the clearspeed is insane. Maybe there is hope to make it work with Andariel/Shaco, Tyrael, Starless Skies and Doombringer.
The “set” of the season. Kind of crazy how every build is just running the full mythic … think they went too far on the mythics and killed gear diversity.

I like those overpowered mythics. I think we just need more of them, hopefully with VoH release, to have more options. Imagine having 4 or 5 different mythic body armors to choose from.
I like overpowered mythic items but maybe characters should only be able to wear one and have to make a choice. They all work so well together that it becomes the new uniques since they’re all pretty much better than any class unqiue. Idk it’s a bit disappointing since that seems to be where the game is heading. It’s also possible they didn’t go far enough on class unique reworks then.
