So my friend and I are not able to trade runes for some reason. We went there and he wanted to give me four separate runes but he couldn’t trade any of them to me…
Out of all the rooms he had there was only one he was able to even trade with me for some strange reason. Does anybody else have this problem? Did anybody know what the problem is do I have to do something specific? Do I have to finish possibly the seasonal storyline?
Okay I don’t have vessel of hatred. But he was still able to trade one room to me which is odd. It was just a random rune I didn’t need so I find that weird that I could get that one specific room but none of the other ones.
Also I find it odd that we can’t use runes we don’t have VOH. Like they pay all the game I understand maybe not letting me see the new content but basically breaking every single build you can make now because you can’t get those rooms doesn’t seem like a wise idea to keep people playing
With that logic nothing is build defining so I dont think many would agree with it. You could take off an entire earthquake multiplier aspect and maybe only suffer 10 to 15 pit level loss so perhaps we need to say runes are ultra powerful instead of build defining.
Yes, some are strong, no doubt. This I can 100% agree on.
Adding both mobility to Barb and the ability to damage and run away reliably adds extraordinary damage mitigation. I could do similar with enough CDR and Leap, but I lack that amount of CDR - which is why I use Ground Stomp for the stun. As I said, it clears slower, but the damage and build are absolutely still present.
I just don’t believe relying on runes (or witch powers) is a “build”, it’s just build augmentation. Like players exclaiming “mah build is broken” when Decay Augmentation was changed. That’s not a build, it’s a bugged Witch Power interaction.
I think you can say this for witch powers. My entire idea and build for my minion necro was ruined because of how coven did not work with aura of lament so for me that was build was broken. I had no way to gain back resource using witch powers that also qualified for coven requirement so I had to change gears to get attack speed, enchants, passives, and skills because of it. That was build defining for me.
I then got another round of build defining errors when voice of the stars does not work with aura aspect. Voice of the stars should say witch aura but it doesnt.
Well as we’ve discussed previously, I think Minion Necro problems stem from all the CC that they just utterly stand in. As you ramp up difficulty into T1 to T4, more CC just flies. Even if my minions did 10x damage, it wouldn’t matter much since they’re all frozen the majority of time anyways.
The other issue is Ring of Mendeln of course. But even if it worked proper, they still have CC issues. There’s absolutely nothing in game to stop frozen/fear on minions. AotD doesn’t do it, there’s nothing in Paragon (Cult Leader or any other board), and there’s bo Aspects or Legendaries for it.
I made it to T3 on mine. Could have pushed into T4 and certainly beyond, but it was frustrating to play. I was using Growth Witch Power + Bone Storm, which worked far better than Army.
First, I’m not going to debate or argue about anything.
I’ll concede simply because I know my knowledge limitations with the game I enjoy casually.
But out of curiosity and for science, I’d love to see your manual cast EQ Barb without runes procing them vs my or anyone’s runed EQ Barb.
I wasn’t here for SB ridiculousness last season, so all I can say is what I’m playing right now is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen in this game.
@Urza - hey we gotta run that dungeon. Also - found a 4ga FoF! 1st 4 I’ve ever found.
Curious what it sells for… haven’t tried messing with it yet
There’s no science needed. Runes absolutely make more Earthquakes, and BAC or IGNI absolutely propel the build higher simply due to more = better. But my point is that the base build operates without it.
The runes accelerate what already exists; namely Earthquakes doing tons of damage essentially for free (CD cost on Leap or Ground Stomp which can be eliminated).
The difference depends on class/build.
Barb gets a boost, but can already clear high without the big runes.
Sorc??? I don’t know. My wife hates it, can do T4 but tops out at P85 or so. She doesn’t have Legendary runes, so that +15 Pits I’m throwing around would literally be the difference between maxed Glyphs and not. Luckily she can just tag in a 100 with me if she wanted. But maybe Legendary runes won’t make a P15 difference.
Whoa nice find. My 4 GA 295% cost me 85B as I recall.
Ive hit lucky hit twice on my FoF in masterworks 6 times and the 3rd crit everytime has been chance to do CC which is completely worthless. I really hate masterworks having a chance to hit affixes that do nothing as its put it over 100% chance to CC which does nothing. So mad.
It’s the first time I’ve not started with a Sorc.
Granted I took a break for a while, but kept my eyes on the game… just didn’t feel it based on community feedback.
Is there not a GOOD build?
By good I don’t necessarily mean “OP” as that’s not my prerequisite - not some convoluted, snapshotting, stare at buff bar and one eye on cooldowns and dance a jig like druids have to in order to get their GOGO on.
I’d hoped for incinerate and firewall (dots) in general would, by now(!!!) at least be viable!
Probably just naive wishful thinking…
Ooof.
That stinks. That’s a huge time sink for poor results.
No 'player agency " in a given system is never a good thing - add to it questionable design at the core & it’s a recipe for an unpleasant dish.
You’re right saying it shouldn’t overcap.
If one were to say - hit it 2x like you did, it should 'gray out ’ and only roll the remaining affixes as the capped one is ineligible.
(P.s. mine rolled 285. Forgot to mention it. 85 up and 15 down work for me!)
