I am trying very VERY hard to stay away from bone spirit. I have never liked that ability. However, it seems that we are pigeonholed into either using a build that incorporates it or being stuck on T70.
I have starless, perdition, and tyraels. All gear master worked to 8-12. all ancestrals. 190 paragon. 5 glyphs to legendary.
It’s actually insane that it takes me like 20 seconds to clear one pack of mobs
Allow dots to crit or something. Please don’t make me use bone spirit
I guess i could try sever, but finding an ancestral with a good reaping lotus enchant % is like 0.0001 lol

Yeah shadow dot builds are gutted after the blighted aspect nerf. Instead of changeing the multi to only work with shadow dot damage, instead of being a global multi, they just nerfed it to uselessness.

Saves me time from trying a blight build, sad I really really wanted to play a blight build.
One thing that I think will make this work is “IF” they add a new unique weapon preferrably one hand (maybe focus?) that will allow DoTs from desecrated ground created by blight to CRIT… And because there isnt a unique focus yet, that would be a wonderful addition. Although, even IF they do add one, I doubt its going to be on this season…and that is saaaadd…

Blight doesn’t create Desecrated Ground (which is a good thing, since Desecrated Ground doesn’t stack), and Blight doesn’t really do much damage, Ebonpiercer does …or did.
They need to rework Shadowblight (and related Aspects) and remove the silly Wither cap they added, idk who’s bright idea it was to massively cap a massively underperforming build, and in the process invalidating that archetypes unique gearing path/priority.
The clear idea was that Bone prioritises max essence, Minion gears minion passives and AS, Blood Overpower goes for Max Health, and Shadow DoT was supposed to prioritise Int.
And then they go and Cap Wither below what every single build of any archetype will reach purely on accident.
Whiter was supposed to be the way to make Shadow DoT’s “Crit”, it’s just far too weak to compensate for that now.

I started the season playing the old school “Infinimist” build that I really had fun with in previous seasons - before the Wither node was capped. It’s still fun to me, but yeah… it needs some adjustment.
Getting to T3 wasn’t too bad, but that’s kinda where I’ve left it. AoE pulls feel pretty good, but anything less than 3-4+ mobs feels like a chore. Boss fights take up half my time in pit ~ 60’s.
I think they could remove the Wither cap, and also add an endlessly scaling effect similar to the Frailty legendary node that increases damage taken as the fight progresses. Frailty hits cap in just a few seconds; but if there was something else to compensate for lengthy fights/single target, I think that would be a fun idea.
They should just change Shadowblight key passive to let Shadow DoTs crit and then change the Aspects for it to allow DoTs to execute like the Mythic polearm does.
If they change it so Blight dot triggers Shadowblight twice as fast than other skills.
