Are infernal hordes the best way I am currently sitting at 239? I know 300 isnt mandatory but I’ve not hit 300 before and id like to atleast once
Pits are best. Incense, elixir, group up ideally.
Run the highest pit you can comfortably clear in under 2 minutes.
Do that 1000 times.
Hordes are not bad, pit is better.
OP is at p239 which is about 2.18B total XP and p300 requires 24.77B XP so it’s more like 2000 runs.
1000 times? Hes Lvl 239. That means a good 0.000000000000001% of the journey is done. Thats a minimum of 2 quadrillion lvl 100 pits to lvl 300 and i havent started overexaggerating yet
As someone who did P300 last season and is at 299 rn, my advice is honestly to approach 300 organically by doing a constant variety of activities instead of focusing on just 1 like pits or hordes.
Because otherwise you’ll get to where you hate the monotony of it. For another thing, you won’t really get any rewards in power or ability after about 280-285, and that’s when it gets really grindy. And third, once that experience bar stops incrementing and turns solid at 300, you’ll have post-paragon depression.
I thought I was exaggerating.
I know its not mandatory, Its more of a I want to do it atleast once thing
This is a very good advice.
I got p300 last season and have been p300 for about a week this season. I play all classes and do all kinds of activities.
It will take more time, but it’s more fun. (unless you’re someone who likes to do only pits)
pits are mind numbing right now i am trying to get all my glyphs to 100 almost there. Did manage to nab a 4ga Ugly Bastard helm though so it wasnt a complete waste lol
I have never hit 300, I think 254 was the highest… but I think making an alt at least gives you more to do and you literally are not just doing one thing over and over and over…unless you like that.
I got to 234 on my Druid, made a FB Sorc. And got to about 239. Now made a Summoner and am at 251…had to check. Is it the shortest way?? Definitely not. but I am not bored out of my mind.
Im still at level 496. I did not even play the last days. I guess it will take years of hard work to deal with all the brain & muscle loss after doing too much pits.
Only 4 levels left. In pained grunted words: four.
I think I’m sitting at 261. Thank you Cata Druid with snap shotting. I don’t see how I’ll get to 300 though. Sheesh, it’ll be one 1 mind numbing experience that’s for sure.
You have to have about 15 hours of Pure sleep before attempting such a thing.
I cant even walk anymore. After doing a pit i let my body fall onto the floor and wiggle my body to move forward. Today is a nice sunny day. I want to help my parents in their garden. When they see me coming they beat me with large sticks thinking of a snake people attack.
Then with tears in my sad eyes i proceed to the lawn area and mow by using my teeth.
puts mic up to your face
So how does it feel to Touch Grass??
People of the Diablo 4 forums wants to know Slap-a-bish !
Pits.
Group is better. Since you can clear faster.
Last I checked, the pit xp really was not much better at higher levels.
I’m sure you can find a current spreadsheet so you can verify this yourself.
Imho, you want to aim for pit runs that take less than two minutes.
Last season, I used SB evade to do P70 in 60(ish) seconds.
Xp buffs only affect mobs killed. Not the boss xp kill which gives the about 2/3 of the pit xp… so they really add very little.
To me, the faster the better.
This is not a race… it’s a marathon.
FYI, the real grind starts at 260. The last 40 levels make the first 260 look like a joke.
I did it once and will never do it again as the power gained does not equal the investment required.
Good luck!
Joking aside. (Im healthy & happy even after thousands of pits )
I dont even always “quickrun” the pits. Sometimes i kill every single monster in a pit because “non evil shall live” not focussing on the elite packs only
I just turned on my professional dedicated gaming system (Xbox) and will do some pits
Thats probably about right. 1-260 was about the same as 260-270 from what I saw. Someone else said 284 is half way after looking at xp tables.
The answer to anyone wondering if it’s worth the effort is in another players post. Hard diminishing returns… and the design is that you don’t need to, but will eventually accumulate it in eternal from just playing.
I reached lvl 297 yesterday
Last season i was already 300 at this point of the season
Maybe its because i want to do it slow to enjoy it more
I did some basic (rounded) math for you. From 240 to 300 (239 or 240, no matter it’s only 70M xp difference):
Using only an elixir, and no incense, and playing solo: you have about 1958 pits 90 runs left. If you can run pits 90 at 2min/pit rate, that would mean a bit more than 65 hours of game doing only this (no loot, no salvage)
If you can run them at 1min30/pit, that would be about 49 hours of braindead runs.
- That would mean you have a speedfarmer char = mobile, not overkill-giga-DPS but only enough DPS required to one shot trash/elite as you fire&forget through the maps.
- I was taking pit 90 as a reference, instead of pit 100 because I found out as a barb, that to achieve pit 100 at same speed rate as P90 requires really much better rolled gears and good triple MW crits, while you only need from decent to good gears to ravage pits 90. Plus, xp difference between 100 and 90 is about 500K
- Everybody knows this season necros are unmatched DPS wise, but I would recommend a kangaroo barb if you want to achieve 300 quickly and, most of all, easily. It only requires taping down the mouse click and that’s all, no need pressing even one buff… That’s what I’m currently doing in HC, and it works well so far
I had the whole day time to do the last 3 levels.
Guess how much i did? 1cm worth of XP. This is so boring. Its only possible if you can deactivate 99% of your brain for the time doing pits. 1% left is reserved for breathing.
Maybe this shall be my last ARPG experience to show me how worse it is. Maybe its time to change gaming lifestyle. Point & Click Adventures i love you
