I went to helltide after the patch. it was about 20minutes till the helltide end.
I managed to get 85 cinder. ( running around to enemy to kill)
So, I think, if you want to do helltide and it is more or less 30minutes left, dont dreaming about opening mystery chest with that time left.
as for me 20minutes = 85
then 1 minute = 4.25cinder
So, to get 250cinder, you needs 250/4.25 = 58minutes more or less
with this calculation, you can only open 1 mystery chest instead of 2 chests previously (with that amount of time). Maybe for a pro guy will get more cinder than that.
Work as intended. It’s bugged the monster give too much cinder and they feel some player enjoy and have fun doing helltide. Now they fix it, be happy about that.
They push the release and forget to test it before. Now they said they know it’s a bug … yeah sure …
That’s why they release the patch 2 days before the season, so we can test it. We are the QA team.
I wonder why it’s taking so long to resolve this, though. If it was an unintended bug, it should be easy to fix, yet, judging by this thread, it hasn’t been fixed. Why?
Thats my exact reaction. In the patch notes they dont mention anything about cinder drop rates so they shouldnt have been anywhere close to that setting. Somehow it managed to get in there anyway as a “bug” and still they havnt fixed it!? This makes me question the code base as a whole…
My other thought on this is just, that it’s very low on their priority list, rn. Preparing for the season start, looking into some other changes maybe as well…idk.
What I do know is, that after testing shortly yesterday I haven’t done anything in d4, even though I have a lot of time at the moment. It just seems pointless to me with the changes as they are, to do anything outside the season. And season…weeeell, just not excited about it anymore, so we’ll see how that goes…
