True Form considered Shapeshifted?

When I use the Unique item that grants me Werewolf/Werebear as my true form (meaning I won’t return to human form normally), do Shapeshifted damage bonuses still apply?

If no, then do they apply if I transform to human while casting non-animal skills?

Let’s clear it up a little.

You have “shapeshifting” attacks. Claw. Maul. Shred. Pulverize. Etc.

So if you have something like “+10 to shapeshifting skill damage” then those get +10. They are shapeshifting skills.

However, if you’re using the Shapeshifter glyph, the bonus ability says Shapeshifting has a 20% chance to cause the Skill’s damage to Critically Strike. So, you have to go through the act of shapeshifting for the bonus effect to trigger.

Thanks for explaining.

Regarding the 2nd point about Shapeshifter glyph where I need to Shapeshift in order to benefit from its bonuses.

If using Mad Wolf’s Glee unique where it says “Werewolf is now your true form”; when I use Werewolf Shapeshifting skills, I don’t shapeshift so the glyph’s bonuses don’t apply at all?

Since I don’t go through the shapeshifting process.

That is how I understand it, yes. Otherwise we would basically have 20% crit chance on every skill all the time, which would be pretty busted.

Hello, I have a follow-up on this. So let’s say I am using tempest roar. This makes my lightning storm a shape-shifting skill since stomr skills are now werewolf skills, So that means every time I cast lightning storm, I get the 20% increased crit chance because the skill now transforms me into a werewolf? Am I understanding this correctly?
