Loaded up on the beach and yikes.
The graphics are terrible.
The combat is slow and boring.
The “skill tree” is way overdone.
The monsters are cheap looking.
Seriously, this is what you guys prefer?
Diablo 4
Had amazing graphics
The combat feels impactful and the animations are fluid.
The skill tree is intuitive and interesting.
The monsters are well designed.
I know what I pick.

PoE 2 is essentially an expansion pack.

I did. I did not get to the end game or anything, but I was just not liking the skill tree. I am sure if I had given it more time to understand it I would have liked it more, but at the time I was playing a lot of D3 and just tried it between seasons.

Yep, honestly, POE is quite outdated. Also it use an homemade 3D engine that looks a bit odd nowadays. But it is still free, so that’s a big point for him.

Yeah…okay. Thought you weren’t trolling for a second, you got me!!
Even excluding that, I don’t care about graphics. PoE Much better game in every metric. Don’t believe me? Ratings exist.

I can not agree with the combat, the combat feels so AVERAGE and basic in diablo 4 in my opinion. 1 skill upgrade choice, 4 skills on the bar. They lack any impactful visual to me very minimal animations and impact. Combat is the same loop, because of the low amount of skills and morph potential just feels like running the same build. My build consists of just double stabbing an enemy over and over again and using my other skills if i am CC’ed or not. I really wouldnt call it impactful. Impactful to me is lost ark, huge variety there in terms of combat and nothing else.

Yes Diablo 4 has amazing graphics and they do deserve credit for that. I don’t agree on all of your points though. The skill tree is not interesting, it’s a small handful of abilities plastered on a chalk board too large for what is needed with some passives smacked on. It was very predictable on my first level through.
Also I have to comment on
So I am a melee player only and I have not played any ranged yet at all so I cannot speak for ranged…but there are funky things going on in D4 with melee combat. There’s a strange global cooldown, animation locks, and sometimes as a melee player your character will just hit any random target around you no matter what you’re targeting.
As for PoE, graphics is the only thing really holding it back and if you compare the two on just graphics alone then sure, D4 blows it out of the water.

While all that is true, after you play D4 for 100+ hours you will start to see it’s flaws and see past the bells and whistles. D4 has Bad item design, is poorly balanced, has no end game content, minimal build diversity, etc.
D4 does feel good to play, the combat, graphics, and sounds are S tier, but PoE is just a better designed game, at this point anyway, I do believe D4 will improve greatly over time however.

I’m not going to say D4 is good, but this is just an objective lie.

More like a low quality game I don’t see what people like about it so much

D4 has better graphics than a game that is ten years old and was based on a homemade graphics engine and is free. Correct and … OMG shocking!! Like just shocking!!
Gameplay … you played one level at the most so … yeah.
Anyway IMO, ARPGs are about builds and exploring different kinds of setups. None of them have scintillating “gameplay” – if you want that, play a Soulsborne game. These games all have basic click-click gameplay with a limited skillset, and the variety is in the builds, the variations, and the looting/trading.
The issues people have with D4 are not the graphics or the gameplay in any case, it’s the loot, the skill design, the cooldown/build/spend system, the lack of balance between classes and so on.

I’ve been playing since early access. Leveled a barb to 100 pre-season. Almost done with the season pass for s1 now. This game blows POE out of the water.

Yeah POE 1 defo is outdated.
Also gender locks are gross.
Like people keep saying to play it but it’s like straight outta 2004.

Play till you get past level 10. It grows on your more there.
POE is by no means a perfect game either. But people say it is the gold standard in arpgs, because of it’s systems and they are not wrong.
It’s graphics are dated and the level design is bland. The passive tree is overly convoluted. The story is non-existent. But aside from that there are some very good systems in the game.
Also there are a lot of unarmed monkeys…never bother searching them they have no pockets.

Totally. It’s a really old game.
They’ll be releasing Path of Exile 2 soon though, so that’s their chance to compete with D4.

Another troll? Ah yes lets compare graphics instead of gameplay. I can say D2>D4 cause of more variations of what to do and working builds.
