Tributes are just not dropping for me. And yes before you say it I’ve completed the quest to fully unlock it and got the initial free ones. However no matter what activity I do currently I’m on T2 I haven’t seen a single drop.
Anyone else experiencing this?

A lot of the main and seasonal mechanics are broken right now. Game is overall in a very broken state.

This is another of their “features”. The only ones I have received are for the runes from the pit. Nothing else from anything on T3. Lets hope it is bugged as it goes on there is getting less and less point to play this season.

They will wait until the “Dupe” bug comes back so they can disable trading. While that is being “worked” on, we will get some hotfix that they found a bug with tributes and fixed it. It will probably be cryptic though.

I finished the citadel (all 3 wings) and still not a single tribute out of whispers, pit, undercity, nmd …
I have the same problem with full completed Campaign (twice) and Undercity Questline.
Clanmates says that Tributes often enough drop in NMD, but I for 20+ dungeons on T1-T3 have not get a single Tributes, not to mention other activities that are also supposed to give this:
Nightmare Dungeons, Public Events, Kurast Undercity, Helltide Chests and Tree of Whispers Caches.

I’m not crazy then. My friend was talking about adding tributes to the Undercity and I was like, “WTF are tributes? I’ve never seen one.” and we’ve been playing the new season the whole time together. We’re at the same progression points.

Nope you’re not crazy I haven’t had a tribute drop even a single time and I keep running every activity in the game. No matter what I do they just will not drop. Once again another broken mechanic that Blizzard seems content to ignore because a streamer hasn’t made a video about it. I bet if some streamer made a video about it saying how pissed they were that tributes weren’t dropping for them they’d have it fixed already and have flown him out to their studio to personally apologize.

maybe my bitter experience will help someone.
It turns out that killing the main boss and the subsequent quest chain doesn’t end with just talking to Ormus in Kurast.
Suddenly I found out today that if you don’t have yellow marks (campaign quests) on your map, it doesn’t mean you’ve completed the campaign. Turns out, you had to complete a series of side blue quests - it says about them when you check out the current status of the campaign quests. And a couple more side quests that have nothing to do with the campaign at all, but are marked with a yellow marker.
And I also learned that visiting Kurast’s dungeon 4+ times, while not using the tributes, is an artistic intent. That’s how I could have guessed that it was only after 4+ completes of Kurast’s dungeon that I would finally be given the opportunity to farm dungeon tributes?
After that I finally get tributes from pit boss and whispers box (droprate less than 50%).
I don’t deny that I was superficially reading the quests, but it would have been really cool if the tributes ALWAYS DROPPED OUT, but could only be used after a specified series of quests some less than 6+ hours of full campaigning.
They drop sporadically from ladder bosses. But the drop rate is definitely bugged, and using them gives bugged results too.

As was pointed out, you need to finish the questline for the undercity before the tributes will drop. I had the same issue.
Going forward we should really consider those PRIORITY quests in our journal to truly be priority.
-You wont have whispers in Nehantu either until you do the appropriate quests.

Have done every quest, getting one tribute after another. Especially tormented bosses drop me one mats tribute after another
I have a ton of the tributes and even 5 legendary ones. What i have problems getting is IH Compasses. The RNG is a screwy thing in this game.

We did indeed not finish the purple questline with Sihek! The questlog was more than irritating, but once we finished the quests we finally got some decent tributes!

It was not just you, believe me! Glad you are getting some now, hope they work and others can figure it out if they are having the same issue. I thought I had it done too.
To be fair yeah, all the new activities are lined out in quests and quest dialog, but they still don’t act intelligently.
Started expansion with two 50s did campaign on both. Didn’t have to redo any new activity quests on second, but neither runes nor tributes started dropping in second until after the appropriate quest would have been available.
Pretty crappy to gatekeep alts like that.
