Treasure goblins

I have to admit I don’t know why these are in the game, I’ve lost count of how many have disappeared because the ONLY way you know there are close by is basically IF you are STANDING a top them, NO audio signal like in D3, get rid of them !!!

They can be spotted on the minimap before their aggro range.
They also have a some dedicated audio, but not as loud and as far as D3 for sure.

They are very fast and often you chase them and they just end up being worst than a Murloc cause they aggro everything than you don’t end up killing anything cause you’re too busy taking care of the mob BUT when you do finally kill it, the loot is often very Underwhelming so when I see them I just say meh and keep playing.

I’ve never had a treasure goblin run off on me, ur doin something wrong :stuck_out_tongue:

And yeah you can see them on your minimap

Never had an issue.

I spot them on minimap exactly like I did in D3, then I kill them.

Maybe instead of complaining here, you actually suggest to blizz they increase the audio level of the goblins in a constructive manner.

They feel so much easier to kill than in D3.

They have a distinct laugh when you are close enough, and a quick peek at the mini map should tell you where they are.

Of course, if you are blasting other music, or listening to something else, then it’s entirely possible that you would miss that laugh.

They show up on the minimap with a very distinctive icon.

They also drop 2-5 gold as they run. If you’re above lvl 20 or so and see a path of gold in those amounts, you found one.

I’ve missed one or two, but I’ve killed dozens. They aren’t really that hard.

I hate it that I start to chase one down and then suddenly they stop and vanish instantly instead of doing a portal summon and giving you time to try and disrupt their escape.

Plus they run so fast that when you catch up, even using the horse, you find they vanish in front of you with no indication they are going to vanish.

They need to boost goblins big time. They should be a guaranteed unique drop and a higher chance at an uber.

When you see one you should be thinking omg get that goblin GET IT ahhhhhhh

They do have audio letting you know they are there. You have your streamer/music up too loud if you aren’t hearing it.

They are on the mini map quite obviously.

And they only disappear if you stop chasing/attacking it because you got distracted by the mobs that attack you while chasing it. That’s it’s design. Kill it first, then kill everything else. You’re doing it wrong.

Dollar Store Goblins more like.

That’s even glam from where i come from.

It would be neat if they dropped…you know…like…real treasure, not the usual junk you get everywhere else in the game.

Most people play by looking at their minimap… Its hard to miss them.

You actually can hear them they make a distinctive noise in contrast to all surrounding monsters, they should not run away until you have engaged them, I have snuck up on many and Bone Prisoned them and snickered as they frantically pinball around in it since they have no attack to break out.

Next time you spot one, try adjusting your audio and listening for a moment, I promise you’ll hear their unique audio telegraphs.

I always just stumble across them with little time to prepare. As a trampleslide Druid, I can usually take them down. But their loot is equivalent to opening a regular white chest or even a whisper chest. Usually just one or two sacred items. Very underwhelming.

On a side note, how many times have you seen treasure goblins as an event? I had a bunch of them spawn in a cellar once, but that was it. Haven’t seen it occur again. I miss seeing tons of them like in D3.
