Treasure Goblins - Elite

Please can we grant Treasure Goblins “elite” status so Execute doesn’t proc and kill them prematurely

Just an idea many thanks for reading

It would be nice if they made the drops more desirable. I have yet to get anything useful off of one.

Tbh it’s been like 50/50 for me - sometimes legendary sometimes just scrap… but if you want to increase your chances of better drops - don’t kill it right away, Gobby’s are about the chase…

Chase after him bring his HP down slowly and each time he try’s to escape through a portal just attack him to interrupt and then chase him again bringing down his hp low as possible so when he casts his final portal(the portal that doesn’t close when you hit him) you nuke him and nuke him fast… then he’s drops quite a bit of stuff … hopefully Legendarys and if you’re really lucky, cosmetics(I got a Horse cosmetic once)…

Ofc another issue is when you’re chasing him trying to get him to his last portal you’ll run into other players that will just kill it straight away this also happens about 50% of the time - Solution for this would be: Goblins spawn only inside Dungeons

Pretty sure I have found a couple in dungeons. I could be wrong, though - my fibromyalgia really affects my memory.

I’ve had several in dungeons. I’ve been somewhat lucky in coming across them, I came upon three, one right after another in Hawezar one time but got zero good drops.

Also have been fortunate enough to not have another player come across and kill any of mine prematurely, although I did lose one once when my slow as heck Druid got bogged in a big pack that it just blazed through and I couldn’t get through and had pretty much everything on CD at the time.

That’s my second gripe about them - their propensity for running through large groups of mobs that CC you :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Yup. I had one I was chasing and trying to avoid mobs as much as possible and the little bugger ran through every single pack on that part of the map like it was coded to do so. Luckily I was a Druid with decent mitigation or I’d have been a goner.

Haha yeah I hear you guys - I’ve only managed to find a Gob in dungeon once otherwise all my other encounters have been in the overworld - an yeah dealing with the attracted mobs can be a challenge but I’m always up for a good show down lol my Barb is 70/30 leaning more towards damage and crowd control and any defensive skill I use amplifies my damage so I’m not too worried when it comes to big groups of mobs just gotta handle it carefully :sunglasses:

Wait until that chase for the goblin leads you straight to the Butcher

Save yourself and murder him quickly!

Yeah then that Gobby is getting nuked immediately

I wish I could indulge in the chase but once my Necro manages to catch up with the walker in hand, I then have to try and kill it quickly. Rinse and repeat. Nothing ever drops that makes me feel all eager to chase it but this is the only gambling I do, so, I go after it. Next time I see one, I will grab an ecv (electric wheelchair) to make it easier. We all know the Necro’s need them to catch up with everyone. Maybe the dead aren’t meant to run around after all?

They already pull the entire dungeon and people are suggesting we wait longer before killing them. :joy:

Got uniques from them

Haha true I feel bad for Necros in this case  yeah in dungeons they can pull mad mobs, but it’s kind of the challenge with Gobs…I find 1 out of 8/10 them usually drops something decent - but that’s if you hunt them down properly too(greatly increases multiple drops on last portal kill)

I’ve had some luck chasing them back to cleared zones, but yeah, they seem to home in on mobs

Yeah it’s easy for me with Barb to kinda Shepard them using increased move speed, multiple dodges etc also unstoppable perks help a lot … with a little luck they tend to stop and run opposite direction from you or parallel in some cases - Love when I get them cornered though, it’s like Goblin ping pong :joy:

I mean if we’re fixing Treasure Goblins, can we increase the sound volume of their noises by 500%? Or just change it to the D3 giggling snorting huffing Goblin sound that you can instantly recognize from 2 rooms away or over a long distance phone call? Half the time I notice little piles of 3-4 gold and then look at the map just to see it wink out of existence 1 room away and it never made a peep.

Sounds like you’re likely to come running if you hear one then.
