I know both pc and console version has them but since there is no standard discussion page for both together i am putting this in the console section since i am getting it on xbox first.
Any just wondering if anyone knows if treasure goblins will very rarely drop a portal to there realm still like in past games like diablo 3 since i liked that found it fund the chance to go to there realm for good loot.
I only found one, and it had no NOTICE like D3 with the “laugh”…I just seen it in corner of monitor/Tv dropping gold and running AWAY instead of charging me like the rest of the room…and it dropped crap…
Killed two of them in beta wasn’t easy as it ran into many groups of mobs, apart from the gold it was dropping loot was average. Not sure on portal sounds awesome though.
Treasure gob had a special icon on the mini map (only reason I noticed the gob the first time) (disclaimer: I was on PC). The 3 total that I encountered never tried to cast a portal. But like manjoe noted about it running into mobs, only 1 that I didn’t kill got lost in a mob and I didn’t see how it left the map.
I will note that the realm wasn’t in D3 at the beginning, it was added later.
got like 4 or 5 treasure goblins they were pretty rare. Got them both inside dungeons and out in the open world. In comparison I probably got the Butcher like 10 times. Both seemed to have a guaranteed legendary item.
I have found 3 of them in a cellar, and all 3 of them dropped only bad blue items…It was also a challenge getting all of them at level 7, on world tier 2 just to get low tier items, not even 1 upgrade…hopefully they will fix their drop.
It’s possible they only dropped blue because you were only level 7. Not sure legendary items do that low. I don’t think every one needs to drop legendary items, but killing three and getting none should be a rarity.
Not entirely true. I have come across 2 goblins. At level 25 it dropped 3 legendaries. The second time I was level 18, with a different character, and it dropped only 3 rare items. I guess there is still a chance of luck.
Yeah had a friend say he had a goblin with no legendary i just have not seen it yet. Butcher either always at least 1.
I think we just need to play and see it…
I killed like 5 treasure goblins at various lvls and none dropped anything good
I was exploring and entered a cave, it was a Treasure Goblin cave, only 1 room, but had 3 or 4 goblins and the decor was made up of gold and shiny stuff, like they’ve been collecting there. I was able to kill them all with my barb since they were in close proximity and got quite a bit of loot. Was a fun surprise! But in the wild I only found 1 and never saw the butcher. So, I am guessing this will be very rare in itself.
We ran across 4 treasure goblins. 2 of them got away and we did not see if they used a portal or not. We just could not keep up -the buggers are fast. heheh
The 2 that we did manage to kill, I did see open a portal and ya had to hit them to stop them from going in. just like in Diablo 3. -as far as if they could open a portal that stays there -like the vault or rainbow pony area, not sure. we never saw a portal stay open.
i dont know if i am rite but didn’t they only drop portals in adventure mode after lvl 60 i would have commented on here quicker but wasent being notified of replies.
