Don’t let them spawn until Tier 3. Boom. Problem solved.
I think they’re fine. they fit what you devs want. I find it hilarious that people are both claiming that they want LESS legendaries to drop, but they want Goblins to drop more loot. What I’ve noticed is that they don’t drop anything interesting until Tier 3. So don’t have them spawn until Tier 3 and no one will complain that they seem underwhelming.

I just enjoy stunning them as they run away lol.
My only issue with Goblins is they are too quiet. I literally never notice them until I see a gold trail and they are gone rofl. Maybe it’s a skill issue on my end, idk. 
I thought this was going to be about them instantly teleporting when you come across one that’s been spawned for too long.
Who is complaining about there being too many treasure goblins?
Still trying to find the treasure goblin cellar event, I want more. I want different goblins. I want them to drop more unique things like cosmetics. Overall they’ve been very underwhelming compared to prior Diablo installments. So much so that I often ignore them if I am heading towards something that’s timed.
During early access I was farming Field of Hatred and they were dropping fat lootz and their respawn rate was freaking crazy.
They are probably active off screen like those corpse bows that can one shot you off screen. The game is operating outside our periphery and our point of view/camera needs to be zoomed out more.

I need to check it more often. I do look at it in dungeons religiously but most times I see goblins are in Helltides. And I don’t ever really check my map in outdoor

I’ve yet to see any goblins drop anything better than a rare. I got 5 or 6 last night with at least one of those during a Helltide and they just drop crap. They simply aren’t worth the effort. I must be getting close to have got 50 of them and the best thing I got out of one was a side quest starter.
I keep getting this mount from them. Wish it dropped gear.
I just want the danged thing to drop me the effn QUEST item that I’ve been looking for…
Killed 5 of them today in Khaj, and didn’t get anything, not even the quest drop…

Yes, that was a bug. They did fix that so that the spawn rate there was supposedly like the rest of the zones. So you run into one once in a while, but not crazy often.
They do drop cosmetics too right so they are useful at any level? Something about a mount or mount armor?
Random drop quests are such BS.
The quest should drop from the first enemy or lootable it can drop from that you interact with in the region the quest is located. You shouldn’t need to rely on RNG for 20 renown…
Honestly it feels like the loot from treasure goblins is somewhere between a normal and resplendent chest. Not rewarding to catch and kill them compared to previous diablos.

I remember seeing a streamer showing a cellar full of goblins. Is that still around?
What people want is for things that feel like high moments in their gameplay - things like goblins and resplendent chests - to feel like they’re worth the time. Which means more loot realistically. Doesn’t have to be ‘more legendaries’ specifically. But finding a treasure goblin is a gameplay high moment because they lead you on a chase that can be dangerous… but then you kill it and get a white and 3 stacks of 100 gold. That’s not interesting.
You can make them drop like… say, minimum 3 item rolls + some gold and that’d not inflate the amount of loot much overall, but it WOULD make those specific moments feel like better highs.

There is nothing more disappointing than entering a cellar, and getting the 3 goblins spawn and after you manage to kill them… not a single legendary or same level rare drops. The reward should always match the excitement of encountering them.
