Anyone else want them to free up transmog a bit. If my sword is my bis let me use a scythe as a transmog. Or as a barb it would be nice to have 2 two handed axes instead of a sword and a mace on my back.
The only time I don’t like this is when a game is heavily pvp based and you can get info on the gear they are using. D4 has pvp but its only for cosmetics/fun and I feel like its going to be a crap show anyway in terms of balance. Wont matter much if a rogue is using daggers but looks like he’s using swords IMO.

A) The ability to change hair style and color
B) The ability to make my own custom color palates

Yeah I was thinking this exact thing earlier when I played. I had a decent dagger, but wished I could’ve transmogged it into a sword or something. That’s one thing I did appreciate about Diablo 3 seeing this system now.

hair style and color would be nice. the color pallets I’m not sure about. they don’t want people running around in bright pink armor.
I straight up put this as an “ugly” in my review. I guess I understand them keeping the “must have same base type” thing (so as to not try to dupe people in PvP, or screw up player models with 2 handers with an offhand, etc.), but they straight limited the items you can use to transmog. I suspect it’s because the models are TOO cool, or they are going to put it behind a paywall of some kind. Not cool if that’s the case.

oof didn’t even notice that. Tbh I haven’t really been salvaging much so I could sell and get more gold. I really hope that’s just a beta thing but I wouldn’t doubt its not. They are selling cosmetic “sets” so they deff might want to keep our in game options limited for more money.

They could limit the hues you can use, but just let us mix/match the colors and apply the color to whatever we want. For example, when you choose blue, then the chains on your armor are silver. Why cant I have blue with gold chains? Or gold with blue chains? Or why cant my gloves me white and the fur blue? Thats basically what I mean. I dont mind if they keep it “realistic”, but already its not realistic.
I mean who are we? Some random wanderer. But we are already walking around in style with all matching clothes looking like royalty, draped in jewelry and such, and we are level 25. If they wanted to “keep it real” they would force us all to look like dirty bums like the rest of the NPCs in the game.

Right? I’m totally cool with them selling cosmetic sets… But to limit transmogs when I HAVE THE ITEM IN MY HAND, but I can’t transmog it because they don’t want me to salvage it? So lame…

edit:I get what you mean now. Yea that would be a good option. IMO the more different ways you can make your character different with the same options the better.
The transmog on salvage is extremely annoying. I wouldn’t be surprised color palletes are going to be battlepass unlocks. If they do add custom player color palletes I hope they limit the hue range.
