Trample/Landslide Skillpoint question

Hey guys,

I was doing some messing around with my pulverize trampleslide build and started to wonder if points allocated to landslide still effect it’s damage even when it’s not on my action bar? I don’t get the terramotes, but the damage doesn’t seem different on the trample caused landslides. Normally I use pulverize as my main resource dump, so I have 5/5 landslide just sitting there doing nothing on my action bar.

Anyone else tested this?

It certainly feels like there’s a really big difference in damage having 1/5 in Landslide and 5/5 in Landslide when using the thunder thighs ‘trample causes landslide’ legendary.

I can definitely confirm that you are able to get the benefits of at least the Enhanced Landslide effect (Landslide immobilizes enemies on the fifth hit) without actually having Landslide on your bars, though I haven’t been paying close enough attention to see if the Trample triggered Landslides benefit from Raging Landslide (Landslide strikes again on Stunned and Knocked Back targets) – and I don’t use Primal Landslide (Gain a terramote when you stun or immobilize an enemy, Terramotes grant a guaranteed critical strike with 40% crit strike damage), so I can’t comment on that passive…

EDIT: After some testing, it is not possible to gain Terramotes while Landslide is not on your bars. The terramote buff disappeared the second I removed Landslide from my bars. That’s incredibly lame.

Yes, it does affect the damage.

You don’t get the Terramotes, though, and with Landslide hitting up to 12 times with both legendaries, thats a lot of damage to give up.

Its why I switched from Pulverize myself. I felt it was better to go all in on Trampleslide or all in on Pulverize as the two weren’t mixing that well. Plus Symbiotic aspect paired with Nature’s Fury is just a lot of fun.

I personally use both pulverize and cha cha trampleslide but the slide is there to help proc Earthen Might. Its a bit dissapointing the times when I dont proc it but it seems to happen more often than not for how low the rate is. Though the way the skill is designed it only needs to be procd once to matter
