And you could add a maximum of sales per day.
Not rewarding at all for any kind of RMT
It could be so easy.
Definitely that. But sometimes itās nice to trade with a clanmate, even if they werenāt in the group.
You are 100% correct. My bad.
I meant: Letās no devolve into a jsp fight. I donāt use them nor would I care if D4 was lost to that platform.
Iāll edit my post accordingly.
Thanks for pointing out my error.
hmm true, also would give more weight to clans, i think id actually like a time window for in clan trading too
Since the buyer and seller know exactly which affixes the item will have, and its price, it would be very easy to ensure that you are indeed buying the same item. The chance of having two completely identical items on the market at the same time is miniscule (and if it somehow did happen, the RMT buyer and seller could simply agree to wait a day and try again)
If someone else see one of those items up for X price, and they want to see if they can scam the RMT people, your system of a delayed entrance to the AH would presumably make it harder to scam the RMT people, as you couldnāt just put up an identical item for the same price, even if you happened to have such an item.
The RMT sellers bots takes care of that issue.
bots already exist, RMT already exists, please make all items tradeable because at this point youāre not preventing anything, and do away with the stupid class/spec based loot buckets we have. theyāre dumb. let my sorc find good barb items so i can give them to a barb for good sorc items plz.
This was discussed in another thread and someone pointed out: Randomizing listing and their times.
Also as I was typing in another thread - The architecture of Servers and Shards can be used to further increase the difficulty of āGuided RMT Purchases/Salesā.
I donāt know server tech but I assume this is possible?
Randomization of listing times and its location within the very framework.
Just an idea.
And to reiterate: One and Done ātradesā - purchasing with in-game(non gold) currency and that item post sale is BOA.
Imo - this should not be an AH but a Trade platform with listings. ā¦maybe even fixed prices(donāt hate me lol).
What I said is excluding that anyone would even try to sell that way.
Iām talking about the Item, not the Gear which the buyer is aiming.
At least in Bless it worked.
Should be the only kind of ātradingā allowed. More like item sharing really.
However, droprates in groups should then also be balanced for this, so it does not put group play ahead of solo play.
If you put an item for sale, and it only shows up for like 1/100000 of the players when they check the market, then yeah, direct item trading RMT would become pretty difficult. Could likely work well.
Currency/gold selling however, would still be super easy. The person who buys gold places a trash item on the market for 1 billion gold.
The RMT seller use their bot farm with thousands of clients to repeatedly check the AH until they hit the correct market shard.
Now we are talking (and also why imo trading fees is a requirement, as they add a degree of fixed pricing, by ensuring trading prices cant be lower than the fee)
Still, imo it is also a requirement that items loses some of their power when traded. That way, items you find yourself will always have the potential to beat items you got from trading. Remove 10-20% of the affix values on trade, that would help a fair bit I think.
Both of the RMT trades would be for gear, ensuring that its random rolls would make the item effectively unique.
Canāt use generic items like gems, elixirs etc. of course.
It is my understanding that this is one of the reasons why accounts get banned. Selling outside of the game is still selling and Blizzard does not want D4 to be P2W.
It is not that trading without bots is possible it is that Blizzard wants to avoid Play 2 Win - apparently at any cost. So, until you have a system that in no way can involve money at any point, there will not be an auction house, there will not be trading. Additionally, the first time Blizzard hears about someone making money - just like in D3 - they will investigate and shut everything down.
Even if you add a fee; even if you add a short time limit; even if you come up with a new currency the second there is real world money involved Blizzard will shut it down. They may even shut it down if someone is caught trying to farm the new currency.
The problem is that someone, somewhere in the name of free enterprise will try to figure out a way to make real world money. If you do not instantly ban anyone doing this, Blizzard will shut it down. If it is too much trouble to enforce (think about bots already in game), Blizzard will shut it down.
Imagine people already making money.
Oh wait, it is real.
That canāt be a point of not improving the system which already got abused.
It is the abuse that has caused the decision. Blizzard saw what was going on with the Auction House, etc. in D3 and decided that enough was enough. They have already tagged the Shakogate Uniques. Anyone who sells or buys them will be banned - or at least that appears to be the veiled āfuture actionsā that Blizzard is referring to.
Once again, there are unproven statements that people have gotten perma-banned for using gear they bought from an off game site. There are people whom post on the forums because they got banned - and the posts quickly disappear.
From one perspective, it appears that Blizzard is trying to do two things. One, because of nerfs to one class instead of buffs to another, damage numbers are being kept low. So, HotA Barb (because they are doing āinsaneā damage) gets nerfed. This means that you should be able to Play Your Way as long as you have just enough damage to stay under the radar.
Two, players earn their gear. So, this means you have to play to get gear. Also, because of the gating of the World Tiers, you canāt just hurry and level in order to get the BiS gear. You have to play and play and play for a very small chance for that gear.
As a side note, this helps Play Your Way because you canāt use meta builds (because some of the gear your great-grandchildren will never see). So, you can play and play and play or you can just find a build and use that. Interestingly enough, many people who played D3 are upset because they canāt⦠take your pick and they are complaining about it on the forums.
we dont need an auction house, we need all items tradeable. thats it. thats all we need, aspects, rares, legendaries, uniques, everything tradeable, also we need to abolish class specific loot. everyone can find everything.
we can find our own trades on forums and discord.
We have trading⦠between alts. And Blizzard appears to be happy with that. Although, quite frankly, we are being punished for the behavior of a few. Before ShakoGate, there was a Harlequin Crest for sale on the off game internet. It was, almost certainly, a fake but that meant that Play To Win was somewhat in game. As such, Blizzard does not want to encourage further cheating.
putting a time on it isnāt good though, because what if i find an item, literally seconds before i had to logout to go to work and simply didnāt have the time to trade it now and it would have to wait til i after i got home from work⦠now i canāt trade it because of real life situations?
This. More trade. Blizzard wake up. Make two leagues please. SSF with rainbow ponys and loot pinatas. And full trade League
i almost agree with thisā¦
the mention of discord makes me cringe though⦠you have some half arsed search feature where you have to look at garbage posts, then have to manually look at pictures of garbage items⦠no thanks. I want to specify the item i want with the specific stats and see whatās available on market. If my search is too strict and there isnāt much up, then maybe i do a more lenient search
we need an official trade feature IN GAME
The D3 trading system today is the only solution of getting rid of RMT/spam.
Lets hope they do this and keep the rarity on items.
