I’m aware of diablo.trade and crimson marketplace - any others? any thoughts on which is “best”?
And how do you actually use these? Seems all a bit… cumbersome…

You might want to check the user agreement with blizzard before using those sites. There have been a few posts by people who were banned that said they were using those sites for trading and subsequently they got banned.
Better to be safe than sorry
diablo.trade is your best bet. The “official” diablo 4 discord refers you there.
I don’t know why you’d get banned trading through diablo.trade unless you’re obviously participating in duping or laundering or something.
It’s pretty easy, you just message the person selling the item, if they have it, they’ll share their bnet tag and you meet up with them in-game.
you can use any site for regular trades. regular trades meaning - dont do real money trading
cool. didn’t know diablo.trade was the “officially” recommended one.
Thanks!
I used quotation marks because as far as I know, even the diablo 4 discord isn’t really official and the trading site isn’t affiliated with Blizzard…it’s a weird ecosystem they’ve created.
Be cautious when using such sites for trading and services. Granted some use in game gold only. But the problem is that you aren’t sure if the items and or mats you are purchasing could have been duped and or exploited. Materials being a big thing for obvious reasons. Not sure if possession of such items acquired through a trading site would set an internal flag on your character with possessions of “duped” items.
I say that because in New World they had a duping problem which basically destroyed the economy. And they were flagging accounts who didn’t do said dupe or exploit but had possession of said things that were.
Its a grey area really. Because although you didn’t do anything wrong, you are in possession of things that were obtained wrongfully.
Blizzard should ban trading on third party sites and just bring back the auction house if they’re going to have trading at all. Otherwise, get rid of trading all together. Either fully embrace it or delete it. Half assing it just makes it a poor experience for everyone.
(my vote goes to delete it for what it’s worth)
thats problably half history
dupping and trading also gets one banned…but not for the trading part
or they can give us both worlds
a ssf mode and an open trade mode
they could even sell “d4 tokens” for the open trade one
i couldnt care less tbh
diablo.trade is the best its where i sell items for gold
you need a option to look at online players because im getting maybe 8 to 10 ppl online vs offline ppl … how am i supposed to find what im looking for
Was it really necessary to dig up such an ancient article because of such a petty question?
Look at the username. Best to flag it and move on. Also for old threads like these I’d suggest using the notification drop down at the bottom (below the reply button). Setting this to ‘Muted’ will take it off the front page forever. Helps clean up your own forum page at least.
I use the crismon market to trade diablo 4 items as well it’s a bit more minimal for me which I like plus I like to trade on discord and tcm integrates it well
I do not like discord as a seller.
You can show off a GGG amulet for sale, for example a 3GA amulet with 2 saught after skills on it and you can roll a third skill on it… and most ppl interested either have no clue and/or want it for 500m.
And that is insulting
