Yeah OK buddy, let me pay 4 billion for that 1 GA Fists of Fate with mid rolls on everything but the one GA. I’ll get right on that.
Trade chat is filled with these super unrealistic pricing schemes, it’s nuts.

Yep. I think gold sellers are having good times.
What gets me is that they’re probably looking at a 3rd party selling site with these prices and basing their pricing off of that without any sort of understanding of how selling things works. You can list anything at any price. Doesn’t mean people will buy it.
I mean would you buy my pocket lint for 4 billion dollars because it rolled a GA that’s guaranteed to make you sneeze?
The economy was destroyed day 1. Now it’s just getting worse every day. I try to farm as much gear and materials as i can but at some point you have to join the diablo trade site or you will get nowhere. Selling regular items with one GA for billions is nuts but this is what blizzard deems ok. I messaged someone on the trade site about a item he said 800 billion or 200 dollars cash. I laughed, blocked him and reported him. I wish we had a auction house along with no duping.
Friend was asked 400bil for a good but ordinary legendary… He later bought it for 100 mil.
An in-game auction house that had no RMT would be amazing. I mean it’s basically the same as trade chat but with an interface while cutting these black market farmers off at the knees.
Duping also needs to go, I think it’s a technical debt issue with the code because there’s no way they can’t fix it by issuing every item or item stack a unique hex code that gets recycled when the items are completely used up or removed via dropping+logging out, selling, salvaging, etc. So it’s gotta be something stubborn and a result of using crap code from D3 or something similar. Otherwise duping wouldn’t have ever happened.
Usually 1ga items are worth 20 million… maybe.
If its a dark shroud chest or similar, it is worth much more.
Fists of Fate is something special.
Most used by andariel rogues, they do not need crit or attack speed on them.
Poison does not crit and andariel attack speed bucket 1 is maxxed with andariel tripple crit + normal 12/12 AS on RoSS.
So everything a rogue needs are FoF with a GA on lucky hit.
After a rogue has these as his last piece, he has a gain of 140% lucky hit chance and the build opens up fully and he can refarm 4 billion gold in 2 hours.
Also used in the bugged out infinimist build! The stats on the FoF they wanted 4 billon for were pretty bad, low lucky hit chance. The GA wasn’t even on anything relevant. The lucky hit effect was really high % chance and it had an OK damage roll on it of like 260%.
Ok thanks. I didnt know that.
If the GA was not on lhc, then they are c.rap and some sellers think, FoF = jackpot.
Likely those people will end the season with the stuff in their stash.
Things are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them.
There are only 5 weeks left, and the last two weeks nobody buys anything. So the clock is nearly out anyways.
There should be sales limits, max and min per item. Another exchange currency besides gold. Link purchased item. Last season the top 10 such rasha was from the same person.
Right? I mean 4 billion for a meh FoF or…I could redo a Mastercrafting on 2+ items or perfect re-roll several Affixes for my build.
And it’s not just FoF. People are over pricing just about everything. One guy wanted 200 million for the worst rolls possible Umbracrux lol. Like, dude, it has to be at least a 6 second duration on the totem or the item becomes bad.
I have sold 1GA FoFs for 4B thru the site, so there are people who really pay that price. Not just once, but multiple times esp. if that 1GA is on lucky hit chance.
I understand you dont like the price. But one way or another, people find gold very easy (call it RMT or no life IH), but the market is there and thats why the price is like that.
Thats why Tormented Beast mats are in demand. People wanna farm that boss for FoF and other uniques and if lucky GA mystic on the side.
WTS - An incomplete game with paid early access $150

WTB - my soul back from diablo4 (in game) 99 trillion
That’s because trade chat is only for chatting with the 12 people in it if you actually want to sell or buy something you go to diablo.trade!
The good thing is all of this will be forgotten once S5 ends.
As i said in another post, blizzard really needs to step in and ban diablo.trade and the rest of them.
I might be totally wrong, but wasnt blizzard supporting diablo.trade?
Or advertizing for it?
It’s almost like they are children trying to make fake gold.
Nothing wrong with trade chat. Root cause is no standard in pricing & gold sellers heavily inflates prices. Solution is AH, all trades outside of AH is blackmarket. In game gold transaction between friends needs minimum hrs after added as friend, lets say 24-72 hrs to prevent RMT gold market. In game gold drop can be buffed, gold shouldnt be the restriction to player resources. Balance by increasing material cost for enchanting/MW etc
OR copy POE, remove gold. Sure its an identity. By removing gold, trade currency will be items / consumables / Stygian stones.
