There’s a serious bug or exploit going on, i bought 2 items but after trade it does NOT show up in my inventory but my gold is gone. This is extremely serious as it people are abusing it to get gold.

I just had the same experience on Xbox. I traded an item, the gold was deducted, but the item won’t show up in my inventory.

Same issue just now on playstation 5. Gold gone, no item. Happened twice.

Yes there is an exploit. It s a fake copy of the real item and it disappear. Blizzard should disable this bugged trading used for duping and scamming from s1. Just go for an ingame marketplace and protect your costumers.
99% sure now a dupe has hit and trade is about to go down within 24h.
Yet another season ruined by dupes and exploits like undercity tribute.
How is it a dupe if the item literally disappears?

This is ridiculous, seriously. EVERY season the same! How can’t they solve this stuff?? How can we identify a duped item before trade? fkn hell

4ga dupe items have already entered the market since the second day of the season
Even though blizz knew about this, they ignored it for a week
blizz hv enough suspicion that they themselves transacted with RMT sites or dupe item sellers

it is NOT just dupe hacks, i lost items that i put nothing in for. A friend gave me MONI runes, disappeared. gave me more, gone again.
Same here my friend gave me 2 runes that dropped while playing together and it was gone after trade
Ghost dupes. Bliz never took trade down and its everywhere now.
There was also a thing they fixed which was quest item that if you picked it up the original owner could steal all your items.
Protect yourself from dupes:
1] Never trade LV 1 or unverified account
2] Search their history in diablo.trade and see if they are selling copies of that items. See if that item history has sold copies.
3] Dont trade ppl that wont talk or wont get on high level character
In my opinion, this happens to duped items.
Someone in chat said, it happens when you split a stack of runes in the trading window. I never testet this.
