You’re trying to make sense of something that it’s unreachable to you, because you don’t play the same amount of time they do, you don’t optimize your gameplay as most of them do, and also, you don’t get free stuff in game like they do. Assuming they buy gold (which can be true for a few) is just madness and shows you’re trying to cope with something and failing miserably.
I’m an average player in terms of hours played. I sold 10 Stygians (“easy” to get now in a couple of hours of farming and a bit of luck), 25 sets of Duriel (50 + 50 of each mat) for 900M - before I had like 300M from whispers and selling items. And I don’t even play that much. Imagine those lunatics who play 8-12h a day… I can tell you they don’t have more gold because they simply don’t want to.
You’re full of crap. I seen him streaming over 2 billion gold in rolls, then the next day he had 15 billion. You’re another RMT CLOWN.

What we are seeing with the economy right now is natural. Demand is declining for lower end gear because people already have it. Demand is increasing (for now) for BIS/god-rolled stuff because that’s what people need as upgrades.
Prices will continue dropping on “beginner” stuff but it won’t crater because people might still want to play around with new builds or experiment as the season comes to a close. However, I expect prices to continue increasing for the really good stuff both due to demand and because there will be fewer people playing as the season tapers off, reducing the supply.
That’s how economies work, kids.
