my name is dom1y, im pushing Leaderboard every Season with Spiritborn since Tower is released.
My actual Rank is Rank 1 in SSF, last Seasons was also Rank 1-3.
My Thoughts about the Tower and why it needs to get reworked:
RNG:
Tower is to much RNG right now. Starting from getting the right Mobs (will talk later about Mobs), a decent Monster Density & aswell a decent Boss.
Also the Sanctification is to much RNG. Damage Multipliers or Double Sanctifications also needs a rework, cause its taking to much input in getting a tier higher or not.
Mobs:
Mobs have, specially in really high tiers and when you run on limit with nearly no optimization potential, to much affixes which can cost a run.
For example:
Im playing Spiritborn every Season, specially this Season there are to much one shot mechanics (Electrified Obelisk, Earthquake, Fire Entchanted ect.)
If you get 2x a Shielded Mob in a row even a really good run with good potential is just over.
I dont even know why you put shielded Monsters in a Competitive Mode, where you fight for seconds.
In my opinion whole Mobtypes needs a rework.
Layouts:
Also RNG, the Layouts you get. Imo it cant be that you have Layouts with Deadends, or one layout where you need to climb up a rock which costs 5 Seconds atleast, which can decide if you finish a run or not.
Bosses:
Also Bosses are all different. Some of them have Damage Reduction from another planet.
Example:
I had one Run where i got with 2:40 left on the timer to the boss in Tower 147.
The boss had close 1/3 life after the 2:40. Run not finished.
Other Run: i had 1:30 on the clock. Boss was close down to 1/3.
This shouldnt be the case.
RNG is actually everywhere in Tower and thats not good, i repeat, for a competitive Mode.
My Solution:
Give us every 2 Weeks a new Layout, with creative Mobs, good density, no run deciding affixes. Make it Skillbased, not luckbased. Maybe where we have to dodge something or something else.
Diablo is such a great game, many people are just grinding your Game for the Tower, to improve their Build ect. Give us something where we need to learn and improve in Tower. Not something where we need to pray that we have Luck.
