i do really good dmg, but i dont think i do this kind of damage. all the other tormented bosses dont die this fast for me, like EVER.
before i recorded this, the boss landed and it did the death animation, it was dead, didnt even see the HP bar.
Definitely not intended gameplay…
So… Beast in the Ice is something… different. Look, I hear you. I don’t MIND if things are changed because he is a weird encounter compared to other Tormented bosses. With this one, you HAVE to engage with his mechanics.
-You HAVE to stand in the right places.
-You HAVE to anticipate his landings.
ETC ETC.
I sometimes carry guildies on tormented bosses that their characters are not ready for but THIS one… I only do solo. If you don’t respect his mechanics, it’s game over. I have mixed feelings about that, so I can respect your sentiment.
I don’t know if it was intended or not, truly. He is VERY weak hp-wise tormented boss-wise. If you’re unable to insta kill this fella though, it always comes back to mastering the mechanics and being ready for them.
I definitely agree there, if you dont kill him fast the boss mechanics are very hard to see on the ground and you’ll die. Ive tried solo’ing him before slightly same build but it wasn’t even close to this fast.
I hear you. I HATE trying to visually spot the safe lane AND react within a few seconds.
They could at least make that lane easier to spot.
My uber powerful blood surge necro that was killing it everywhere died to the Beast looking at me, but died when I looked at him with my FO sorc. Builds, gear checks, all make a difference now. And each boss is different. As other have mentioned, don’t kill Beast fast he will punish you unless you are perfect with mechanics.
