I died today from his elite adds: Xkai oneshotted my 90k full capped companion druid and i dont know why.
I didnt have any tormented stack on me. Brought the beast down to under 30% life in seconds before he went into the air for his Phase. I was really relaxed to evade his ice lanes and didnt expected the adds to do something. Great Job Blizzard.
I would avoid him totally. Too many HC players died to him, not worth the risks. For lvl200 bosses, Zir and Duriel are relatively safe, also the steel guy.
If he doesn’t die before he jumps i port out and do it again on HC. Not about to die to some bugged mechanic. This is running with tyreals and doombringer on my landstorm druid.
They need to rework all this outrageous boss damage and mechanics, 1 shotted is the stupidest thing. Honestly. I can understand if you have 5000 life and armor and resistance not capped. But to have 60000+ HP 60-70% DMG reduce barrier fortify incense capped resistance and armor 5 mythics all gear masterworked 12/12 WE SHOULD NOT BE GETTING 1 SHOTTED FROM ANYTHING IN THE GAME.
The oneshot are stupid, its like a jump scare if you’re busy enough. Thing is, how else besides one shots and stupidly scaled hp pools can they make the gameplay ‘engaging’? Its a rhetorical question but its an honest one, because the gameplay is too simple to impart mechanical challenge in the design, any mechanics is in the building of a character.
Not justifying the onshots but this thread got me thinking is all.
It was a bug. Now it is safe. Bring tons of damage to kill him before he jumps and starts the storm.
