Is it normal for him to only drop one on tormented version? We killed 3 times then noticed we were only getting 1 per kill. The normal also gives 1. If this is intenting its a bummer.

No, I don’t think this is normal. It was announced that all ladder bosses should drop x5 mats. So I consider this to be a bug, but I haven’t seen a confirmation from developers’ side.
