I dunno if they still are but they were dropping like candy in the tier 7 materials chest. I havent gotten that far but ive seen it in videos.
Material chests. they drop a ton in tier 7 but I have gotten several in tier 6 as well.

but does version of small tormented bosses have the same chance for mythic as duri/andy?
Can you really count them as torment boss?
I am not even sure why people even care about gear if your current gear can do Pit 100 and torment bosses at the moment. Your gaining nothing until progress leaderboards are introduced where your best efforts will be saved.
Instead of trying to even get mythic uniques which will be worthless next season, rather player other chars and spec.
Gear is a thing when no seasonal content exists and only has value in seasonal content with leaderboards and a armory.
No the gauntlet is the challenge rift (D3) version of leaderboards which is actually pretty useless. We need the greater rift equivalent.
literally nobody care about it except 3-4 D3 fanbois. Wouldn’t change anything.
It is mathematically impossible to get zero Mythic unless you are playing a vanilla build of the game
Thats strange as I have been contacted by different communities after seeing my progress on the D3 leaderboards in the past.
It’s mainly content creators that have a reason to push to the max, for the rest of the playerbase I recommend just having fun. The OP seems frustrated that hes not getting mythic uniques and at this point in time they not going to help you in terms of new achievements.
You can do Pit 100 for the achievement without having one greater affix or unique on many builds.
I found Tormented Zir seem drop more Mytics than other boss, I thought it was coincident. I got Andariel from Zir last season and got two in a row this season just in a short rota x4 farm.
Maybe programming bugs, just try your luck. I think this is more creditable than Rob2628’s advice of pet the “Premium” kitty for higher Mystic drop 
It is ARPG, 99.9% of players don’t give a f about leaderboards, this is a misconception among d3 players, because they simply have a very little experience in other ARPGs. Actually same things about leaderboards in any other ARPg. Nobody played Grifts cuz of leaderboards, i mean yeah liky very very tiny minority played cuz of them but for most players, gr was just the only way to upgrade gear(gems). That’s basically all, same as Pit, when you get a better alternative for gaining mats - nobody playing pit.
ARPG is about loot hunt, if you want competiteve game - you won’t be playing Diablo.
And there is no loot hunt in D4, same as D3. And thats the main problem with this game.

5 seasons 0 uber this game is only for streamers
i had mats to summon a tormented duriel on the weekend and i was clearing some horde with a random guy, he said his buddy just got on and wanted to do a tormented boss. I said i got mats if you can carry us (he was 100 barb).
So his buddy joined level 22 us in wt4, i pop the mats for the tormented duriel after 8 seconds the boss died (barbs are still crazy damage) and his buddy says whats this thing its purple, he links a 3 greater tyraels might and says, is this any good?..
ugh lol i didnt get any mystics but this guy that isnt even level 35 gets the best uber in the game lol and didnt even know since he just started.

Mine was andy. In total ive done 50 runs of tormented bosses andy dropped over half of my mythics.
Count so far
- 2x shako
- 1x andy
- 1x DB
- 2x staff
- 1x heart
- 1x TM
So my logic is I wana kill andy.
