The post I made right before you posted this:

I have played blizzard games since Warcraft 1. I played Warcraft 2, Warcraft 3, Starcraft, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, World of Warcraft and every iteration of Diablo except for immortal.

Diablo 1 felt very immersive and it was fun to be a part of the world. It was well designed and helped form my tastes/preferences in gaming from there on out. Diablo 2 is quite possibly the best/my most favorite game I have ever played. For the life of me, I cannot understand why battle.net worked better/was more well designed in 2003 than it is now. I played Diablo 4 preseason and have started a seasonal character and have yet to trade anyone for anything or group up with anyone besides who I already know to complete content. In Diablo 2, there were threads/game rooms to choose from with descriptions like “trading”. I can remember spending hours/days/weeks interacting with other traders trying to make a deal for an awesome legendary. Trading in Diablo 4 is completely pointless and unfulfilling. I know Blizzard/companies fear RMT outside of the game, but games have generally been less good and less fun trying to keep people from trading/selling valuable items. What is the point of a game like Diablo if its not about acquiring/trading the loot?

The gameplay is similarly satisfying in Diablo 4 to the previous iterations, but it becomes monotonous fighting the same few types of monsters/bosses over and over again with on death effects and hitting you off screen. You are either powerful enough to one shot everything, or you struggle to survive at all - no in between. Additionally, it is extremely easy/becomes boring compared to a tab target MMO (even something like Lost Ark) with a proper rotation.

People would regularly PvP outside of Tristram in Diablo 2. It does not seem like PvP is even a thing in Diablo 4.

The ultra rare unique items in Diablo 4 are completely pointless since they will likely never be acquired by 99% of the player base and they cannot be traded.

The camera being zoomed in so close on Diablo 4 is nearly insufferable.

I encounter bugs regularly in Diablo 4. One of the more annoying ones is being unable to complete a dungeon due to the anima carrier being killed before the map/quest starts tracking the anima while moving into the area (i.e., you kill the elite before the map changes over/quest log records the progress).

The stats on items seem silly and redundant. Why does there have to be so many different damage types?

The storage tabs, lack of gem/malignant tabs is egregious.

Having to grind renown every season is egregious.

The programming related to mounts/riding the horse in the open world is horrible.

Some classes, builds, and stats are completely broken/non-functioning in the game.

Diablo 4 is the only game I have every played where they require it to be a live service/multiplayer game but have people mostly playing solo. Why is there not a group finder in this game where people group up for specific content/activities?

I got a Sorcerer to level 65 in the preseason and became so completely and profoundly bored, that I don’t think I have ever experienced anything like it. Has anyone had any enjoyment killing the same reskinned world boss or completing Helltides? Helltides are a good idea for open world content, but the execution is horrifically bad/boring. The dungeons/mobs/elites do not have enough diversity in this game. I never got the sense that I was working toward anything that mattered. Additionally, the things I was doing didn’t feel any different than what I had already been doing.

I have gotten a Rogue to 35 so far in season 1 and I am having a very difficult time logging on/being motivated to play it. Diablo 4, for many reasons, is one of the least rewarding, most boring games I have ever played. The rogue is admittedly “fun” mechanics/combat playstyle wise and decimates everything in tier 2 at 35, but I am so bored. No dopamine at all. No grouping, no trading, and lack of diversity in content have made this game one of the most boring experiences a gamer could ever have.

I feel like they made one area, then copy and pasted it 5-6 times while changing the aesthetics of the copies and calling it a new and complete game.

I honestly felt like Diablo 4 had good potential. What Blizzard has changed/added for season 1 is laughable and a disgrace. In some ways, they may have made the game even worse.

I don’t know the entirety of what is going on at Bllizzard or the gaming industry as a whole, but the monetization of gaming/battle passes have all but ruined gaming. Nothing seems inspired anymore.

Blizzard has some strange and cruel marketing geniuses pulling the strings behind the scenes. How much longer can Blizzard get away with releasing half-@$$ed products while making record profits. They are maliciously milking us for all the nostalgia of what Blizzard used to be/used to create.

By the way, this is the first thread/forum post I have ever made in my life as a gamer. So yeah, I feel the game is so bad that I made my first post ever. I made it because I love the products that Blizzard has made over the years and I believe that it is possible for them to become inspired to hire good people and make great games again.

I laughed at those two being on the same list, given that Diablo (the original) was installed on your PC via floppy discs.

  1. Long cooldowns are not fun. I feel like the developers could just nerf some of the overpowered skills by a little bit if their uptime is an issue instead of creating a game flow largely based on clicking one button repeatedly because the others are all greyed out for a long time.

  2. Um…

  3. Actually I was enjoying the game a little bit until the cooldown thing and that’s the only thing I can think of.

  4. Four is a four letter word, isn’t that supposed to be a bad thing?

  5. Five is also four letters but it’s not four. Now I’m confused!

My top 5 reasons for why I quit

  1. It’s late and I have to work early tomorrow.

  2. My wife is glaring at me to watch some stupid show or other with her.

  3. My dog dug his way out the back fence.

  4. My mom’s probation hearing is in an hour.

  5. The neighbors kid is drowning in my pool again.

No it was not installed via floppy. Just look at Diablo 1’s wikipedia entry and see the cover art with a picture of a CD on it.

Thank you glad I’m not the only one who’s eye twitched with the floppy install hahaha.

bla, bla. bla…
The hard cold fact is no one cares if you like D4 or not.
If you don’t like D4, just uninstali and find another game to play, simple.

Those aren’t objective reasons. They’re just feelings.

Dude this post reminds me of George Carlins ten commandment skit. Where he consolidated them into like 3 commandments cause they all said the same thing… This is your 1 reason you quit you don’t enjoy it period. The rest is just whiney fodder.

A lot of these types of posts almost feel like someone breaking up with their significant other. It’s weird.

Those are pretty low effort reasons.

Is this what the hateboners like to call “constructive feedback”?

Nothing of value is lost here. The game will be better off without you, more than likely.

Why is it called “Diablo” ?

Where’s the Tier List, Iceberg and React Content about why you’re quitting?

Because he’s the main antagonist of the story told by NPCs when they discuss the history of sanctuary.

  1. Class imbalance, the class I enjoy playing feels terrible to play
  2. Artificially slowing the game down is lazy design
  3. Lack of endgame content
  4. Terrible uniques that are rarely better than half-decent rares
  5. Dumb events, lack of monster density, enemies running away, etc.

This must be the most antisocial online game ever developed. No chat, no trading, no social interaction. It’s comical.

Games require designers and players. Games are subjective. There is no objectiveness when it comes to gaming or its design.

If game designers agree that a design is objectively good and the players don’t like it; then it is bad game design because no one is playing it except the developers.

If there is an objectively good game design or game; please state it and give us a detailed explanation of your thinking process.

So is this thread you created.

You never played D2 or D3 then obviously. And if you had then you you would remember those were “chores” too.

Nope.

Nope.

LMAO. Not sure what game you are playing but I see people everywhere.
