Playing as a cataclysm druid this season, something that’s sticking out like a sore thumb is the sheer amount of buff icons we have going on at any given moment. This becomes a much bigger problem because ‘stacking’ buffs seem to have a tendency to fall off our visible buff rows over persistent buffs. Multiple times over my last few sessions, Provocation has fallen off my visible buff rows making it exceptionally difficult to know when to re-cast cataclysm beyond guessing.
Much of this is due to garbage buffs being tracked. Each form of incense does not need a unique buff icon. Runes do not need to show on the buff bar until their effect is active. Persistent effects from passives do not need to be on the buff bar. Buff visibility should be for temporary power gains that impact gameplay. This is one of those elements of game design where less is more.

Agreed. the second Buff bar for sure helped, but ideally, id prefer if we could manually enable and disable buffs to be shown.

would be nice if i could customize the buff bar to only show what i want. that or give priorities to them. i need to track enlightenment on my sorc but most of the time it’s not shown since the bar is over loaded with all the other buffs. sure i can tell by teh visuals around my char but when you have a screen of mobs, spell spam, and other effects going off, it becomes hard to tell if it’s up or not.

Heck I’ll take it a step further, let me pick 2 or 3 to display directly above my character’s head.

god, thatd be epic. a customizable interface like in World of Warcraft for example.

talks through grittered teeth
What they Also need to do is disable the chance of your mouse clicking on a skill (on your computer) which brings up a character pop up window or Something.
In Infernal hordes, as crazy as it goes, it’s irritating to get a character customization screen or skill pop up window when your in the middle of fighting mobs.
Give us the option to disable user interface (if I’m using the term correctly).

Huh? now how you manage to do that exactly lol? ^^
Never happened to me yet, but then again, most of the time im using controller. But yea, sure as hell wouldnt hurt if you could disable it lol
I’m playing lightning spear sorc now… and I teleport around a lot. Sometimes I have to teleport really far away almost off screen (to get this furthest distance) but my mouse hovers/clicks over an Icon (or skill bar, going South) and I get a pop up or something.
Maybe they can minimize the icons or take it away entirely.
Let us choose if we want to see our health or Primary resource globe.

I most definitely agree with this post.
Also, allow us to unlock that portion of the UI and place the buffs where we see fit.
Maybe so its not directly where we are clicking perhaps…

I loved D3 for this.
In D3 you disable the ui when you enter a dungeon and you get 40 more fps and no clutter.
I had it hot keyed for vital feed back and the fact that you cannot do certain interactions without it being on
(Bad game design) but for the most part it always works out if you have it hot keyed somewhere convenient.
Wish D4 had this for sure.

You will get mother blessing buff icons too
Suggestions within sound good and they’ve got their attention in this area atm.
too many problems that were solved 5-10 years ago in diablo 3 and only require the most basic amount of effort to carry over and implement. too bad the young devs of this game never played diablo 3 or any diablo in the franchise until they started working on this game.
