Today's D4 patch will decide the fate of Blizzcon 2023

Blizzcon 2023 hype was riding on Diablo 4 and the zoomers. Bllizzard decided to spend more $ to target zoomers with promotions instead of focusing on the actual game.

I am hoping this patch fixes a lot of the issues the real diablo fans are complaining about. Focus on us Blizzard, most of my Zoomer friends have already quit D4 and returned to Roblox.

The problems D4 has cannot be fixed with one patch. The amount of work needed will take years, and firing the game director and replacing him with someone who has a clue.

I understand optimism and wanting the best for this game but honestly… what about Blizzard’s actions since launch would give you any faith or trust in sweeping positive changes coming so soon with so little advance notice? They seem incapable of acting fast on anything except nerfs and exploit fixes…If it’s going to take them until after season 1/2 to do what a lot of us would consider pretty basic QOL…

“Do not trust to hope; it has forsaken these lands.”

People who say this game needs years to be good and use D3 as example are hilarious. Nobody really looks at the context of what they are typing when they say “It took D3 10 years to be good.” Really sit there and think about 10 years. We will have 10 new versions of Call of Duty by the time D4 “will be good” lol…just crazy.

D3 needed 10 years to get good, so the dev team took all that time and flushed it down the toilet to sell their own version of D3, including the same hiccups and bugs! What a joyous occasion.

This is the only way to truly change to game for the greater good. Jay Wilson got the boot, I dont see a reason why Rod Fergusson should stay.

Haha… check out this guy, Frogmo0r, and his grand doomsday proclamations.

I don’t think you know what “Zoomers “ even means.

Gonna be funny when people realize today is a client update and no patch announcement lol

Nah it took 2 years for RoS to come out with Rifts and Greater Rifts. But to D4’s credit D3 also had no end game planned or implemented other than Inferno Diablo (and also went through several changes before RoS). This game does benefit from 10 years of D3 dev, D2R dev, and other games ideas over the last 10 years.

If Blizzard messes up D4 they have no one but themselves to blame with all that’s out there.

I got insta perma banned from the old forums back when D3 came out because I made a reply that simply said “Jay Wilson” in a thread.

They were soooooooooooo self conscious and he was such a thin-skined cry baby back when D3 came out and was a complete train wreck lol.

Rod Fergusson isn’t the game director. Joe Shely is. Rod Fergusson is the Franchise Manager for all of the Diablo games.

D3 is still terrible game in every aspect, graphics 0/10, gameplay 0/10 get bis gear in a day and then do GR until uninstall 2 days later.

Why do you even anyone mention the biggest hype wreck train D3?

Its a server maintenance thing not a patch you can still play while its going on

There isn’t even a real patch today, is there? It’s maintenance.

"Well, we wont release notes if a patch isn’t available. The post I’m replying to is claiming a patch came out and no notes were posted.

We mentioned a few weeks ago that we are working on a larger patch in the coming weeks."

NO PATCH TODAY…maybe in 2 Weeks!
