To those that got banned, it sucks but learn from it

I will state I’m not trying to kick you while you’re down, just learn from this and move on.

For those that what to argue that it’s ok to exploit within the game, please turn to the following.

The following shows an agreement between the user, you gamers, and the company that IF you violate and or assist others in violating the license limitation the company has a right to suspend and or revoke your account and or games.

See the following bellow from the ToS of blizzard:

License Limitations. Blizzard may suspend or revoke your license to use the Platform, or parts, components and/or single features thereof, if you violate, or assist others in violating, the license limitations set forth below. You agree that you will not, in whole or in part or under any circumstances, do the following:

  1. Derivative Works: Copy or reproduce (except as provided in Section 1.B.), translate, reverse engineer, derive source code from, modify, disassemble, decompile, or create derivative works based on or related to the Platform.
  2. Cheating: Create, use, offer, promote, advertise, make available and/or distribute the following or assist therein:
  3. cheats; i.e. methods not expressly authorized by Blizzard (whether accomplished using hardware, software, a combination thereof, or otherwise), influencing and/or facilitating gameplay, including exploits of any in-game bugs, and thereby granting you and/or any other user an advantage over other players not using such methods;

Nothings get thrown in faces, this is quite literally the reasoning behind the bans.

Honestly, I barely scratched the surface of season play and had no idea there was an exploit. Never used said exploit. How do players find this stuff? This is why we can’t have nice things.

I’m trying to wear a diaper, full time.

Some people are surprisingly good at finding bugs in games and or exploits.

And there it is…find a bug, you don’t get to use it.

This is where some people are going to try to make an excuse for a wrongful ban:

“or assist others in violating” but not know about this.

I’m pretty sure we’ll be getting a bunch of hate threads from them.

“this game sucks”
“worst game ever”
“I’m quitting, won’t play this garbage anymore”

And whatever else.
Unless ban means their license is revoked and can’t even make new posts here.

perma ban for first time offenders of any cheat/exploit/hack is a bit much.

like everyone should get a second chance, so, really, blizzard shouldnt be permabanning people on first offense regardless of what that offense is.

It’s up to them at that point. Who knows they might revert a permanent ban.

yea, dont hold your breath on that.

Could be using this ban wave also as an example for people considering it in the future.

No. This case the accused had to go out of their way to do the exploit. You have to use them as examples. We can’t have leaderboards if DIV devs are as lacks as the DIII devs.

maybe, permabanning people on first offense is still a crap thing to do. especially after not taking action on the shako thing (which to emphasize, i dont think they should have taken action on the shako thing) but the shako thing set this narrative that exploiting is ok, even though its clearly not, and everyone with a brain can see the difference between the 2 situations.

Imagine White Knighting this mess of a game so hard, you feel the need to quote ToS, like you are better than those that got banned.

Where did blizzard say anyone was banned?

We are.
After all we’re not banned… For starters.

I’m not trying to hate on those that got banned, giving light to why they did before the, “I got banned for no reason,” posts start popping up.
