I called it - Saw a post on this forum about bringing back Primal Ancient gears from D3.
Yes, bring it back, with a twist. Since it is equivalent to 3GA kind of, perfect stats. Make a twist and bring back the glowing red beam Primal Ancient gear. - I suggest we add prior seasonal effect to this new Primal Ancient gear to make it interesting. Would be super cool.
Also bring back the glowing green beam, we need Set items back.
Also bring back in the Ethereal weapons from D3 too.
Do some crazy with the visual on these gears, make it glow, flash make them big ! do something insane with it. So, people can see right away that you got them on you.
We need more things to grind for in end game, and layers of power to hit that WoW excitement moment. This will create more build to be viable too.
Since reaching pit 120 + is virtually impossible. In before you ask what we gonna do with all these powers ? Well, how about use it to test , and reach pit 150 ?
Anyone agree we need additional layer of gears and power to hunt for ?
Ya’ll with me ?

as i said in that thread, not generally against such ideas, but currently i am. I personally prefer if d4 finally picks its direction, then we can see where stuff goes you know. Adding a new form of gear, will just lead to more problems as of now.
Ethereal weapons also existed in d2 btw

I think people are just complaining for the sake of complaining because people are just bored of the game. There is not enough excitement and dopamine triggers within the game 's end game to keep people playing.
So people think the game is bad, and they come on forum or other places to complain and call D4 bad. We just need more stuff to do and I think most of these any complaints will just disappear.
Doesn’t matter if the complain comes from a casual, a blaster, a tryhard, or whoever. People are just not engaged enough

meh i think people are complaining for the sake of it because blizz tried to appeal to every player so far. So yea, some guy posted a while ago that the diablo community is divided - and heck yes, it surely is.
Personally, out of “the big three” i like d4 and poe2.
I dont think d4 should be a poe2 btw, but it also shouldnt be a d3. Lets not forget, people that bought d4 also expected some d2 spirit. D2 was by far more intricate than d4 for example ^^.
wild forum times btw. It had to be expected tho, since blizzard is changing quite a lot of stuff since s7. This time to a direction i like luckily tho ^^

The blasters and casuals complain the game is not offering enough loot, quality drop rate, boss immunity, to name a few.
While the tryhards complain the game is too easy, not enough to do, finish season in 2-3 weeks , not enough challenge .
Im i correct there ?
Now we have pit 150 in the game which is impossible to reach.
Why don’t do add more gears and power for the blasters and casuals to hunt for, while also making the tryhards happy for being able to gain more power and aim for pit 150 ?
Win / Win no ?
Be careful REVIVE . People will call you a Bot/Shill for speaking your opinion/truth in support of D 4.

I could go for something like this in D4. Some testers complained so they removed it from D3.

personally i think its mainly good to NOT do this to especially detect overperformers. Before it was quite a problem to see by how much a build overperforms. Ok, build X cleared pit 150 in 4 minutes. Build X got a nerf. Build X still clears pit 150. You know what i mean?
Dont get me wrong, but i do think that people misuse the “blasting” term a bit as well. D4 is a blaster game. Even in s8, and most likely in s9 as well.
Thing is people just rely too heavily on copying a build, not understanding what they copy. If they dont have the exact stats or items that build shows, then “d4 doesnt drop enough”. ^^
Yes, this is a by product of “power creep”. I am not saying power creep is good. I just said to H*ll with it lol.
I understand power creep without control can be really bad.

Why not ? Would you rather have pit 150 to stay as impossible as of now ?
How about something like the D3 Altar of Rites?

Yes, I think there is a lot to be desired for right now in D4. And S9 is not looking too promising in that exciting department.
Based on many videos I watched streamers testing PTR - I know there are people that could give 2 cra*p of what streamer says . But, It does look like S3 all over again in terms of excitement level of the NMD escalation.
Remember in S3 ? they had to do emergency buff to the seasonal activity because it was so poorly received and underwhelming.

oh i got you there, i was just saying that i dont support these things while we dont have any control at all in d4. (or at least thats what it feels like currently)
Once everything is “stable” in a way. Heck yea, i hope they go nuts with seasonal stuff, that eventually becomes baseline.

Yes… and then i want them to get rid of pit 101-150 and make pit 100 unreachable. Then i want them to work on making all core skills (and/or build-centric skills) reach/cap out at pit 80-90. Then i want them to stop balancing T4 around damage from broken mechanics.

huh,. not entirely sure if that is going to happen. I mean I really don’t see that happening to be honest haha.
The more cap you put on skills and damage, the more limiting and restricting you are to the power fantasy aspect of the game. However, you are achieving a better balance.
It is not a easy line to walk with this one. Should ARPG put more focus on balance ? or power fantasy ? or should they be 50/50 ?
I personally think balance is “less” important.
Just more stats? That’s boring and meaningless.

YES.
I wish they wouldnt even declare a final pit tier. Then no one would care about reaching it.

If you think balance is less important than making us blast through the content … i dunno, man. Seems like theres gotta be a better game for that. Theres nothing wrong with a little challenge in an ARPG

Less important, not “NOT important”.
here is what I really think should be good for the game - feel free to disagree though.
I think more builds needs to be able to do pit 100 and have a comfortable time leveling their glyph up. I am talking all those C tier and B tier builds.
The ideal situation for balance is, all builds be A tier, there are no B,C, D tier builds whatsoever. And you have the occasional meta - S tier builds.
That would make ideal balance situation I think.
Because everyone can have fun with A tier build. ! it is just fun ! it can farm all content and do all content with relative ease !.
