Titles pointless now?

What’s the point of rare titles of you can just get carried through a T25 and join in at the end. They need a better way to differentiate the better players, also I just turn them off with streamer mode cause they don’t mean anything. Maybe 2 titles like Lilith 1 that shows you did it solo. I guess you can still leech to T24 but that’s a whole different problem.

It’s not me, part time gamer here, I was just watching streams of people giving away T25 titles is all.

Was there ever a point to the titles besides personal amusement? Some people in WoW used to care about the rare top end raid titles and mounts, and it mattered in getting invited to guilds, or even raids. I can’t think of a reason it matters in D4. Not like anyone is going to say something to you, invite you to a group because of it, or look at you in awe.

Not really. It’s a video game. People should get over themselves and stop trying to use a video game as a means to show off. No one cares.

True, but titles are one of the few things in this game that last beyond seasons. So what else is there? For the hardcore players to chase, it’s also what keeps people invested over time, if I get everything in a month why keep playing the season, then it hurts trade, groups, etc… see what I’m getting at?

Don’t they have this with the battle pass already? Not the rare ones but there are there im pretty sure.

Right now the developers are tuning “endgame” around broken builds and leaving struggling builds taking dirt naps. The problem with D4 isn’t differentiating better players, it’s balancing the bloody game so that skill does shine. I love my ball lightning sorcerer that can deal with those annoyingly stupid “champions” with ease while my rogue has to go melee with them to clear them out and hope the event doesn’t fail as a result (those champions got multiplied by 3x this season and they really do affect builds that can’t just wipe out large portions of the screen at once).

I just hope they don’t make more Lilith fights. That one is bloody stupid. I can take down her first form in less than ten seconds, but the intermission always kills me in one hit and unlike a lot of other fights, the visuals on that one are a royal clusterfudge and it makes it super hard to figure out what killed me. It doesn’t help that the damned camera is so zoomed in either. Better visuals and telegraphs would make this fight a skill based fight instead of almost purely RNG solo.

I don’t care if you care, it’s about personal achievement, and a ton of us do, hence the leaderboards being implemented. Twice in fact.

Titles should have an * with them (literally) if it wasn’t achieved solo.

True, but the balance will get sorted out slowly, they really need a PTR. And as for Lilith don’t take her down past 33% in the first phase , she will bug out and yes you will die. So do 33% then when she comes with the boils and minions in phase 2 then melt her the rest of the way, 2nd part of the fight stay in the cracking ground and count 3,2,1 then evade, really easy to time this way.
Good luck and you get the Doom title for doing it solo.

It is as superficial as skins if not more.
Why stress over them?

Cause there is literally nothing else to do in this game ATM.

I look for most clever use of them to judge them as human beings.

I get it, not everyone wants to be good at a game, or has the time to blast.

Which is generally what people use to note their past achievements as long as that leaderboard is fair, and as long as it is archived somewhere.

The titles are meaningless anyway. Nobody but you knows if you got it legit or were carried. Such has it always been. They are fun though.

Bitter Echo Ennui is my seasonal necro. It just works for me.

Not true, the Doom title is only from killing Lilith solo.

Yes, the title is literally worthless when nearly everyone who got it got it by exploiting.

Then again, so is everything else in a video game ^^;
