title says it all? lvl 74 druid and I have more Barb uniques then druid uniques… its been a known bug for over a week and really demoralizing. Is there a time frame on when this will be fixed?/ b/c im seeing no purpose of continuing to playing my druid… I could continue to farm uniques… but after last barb weapon im at a point im bout to just throw in the towel and wait for season 1… I could level a new character… but why? season will be out in a month and I wont play either of those characters.

No worries, the Barbarian items don’t actually affect your ability to find Druid uniques, so keep going!
yea I can still get druid unique… but the % is far lower is it not? my head says if i rolled unique and its barb… if I couldnt get “barbarian” items it would be unique druid loot
No, actually, because the barbarian loot is all 2h axes and maces.
Think of it like this -
An enemy dies, and a RNG roll happens.
That RNG roll determines what item type is going to drop.
After that, it rolls for rarity.
After that, it rolls for stats and stat values.
SO!
Kill>Roll type>Roll rarity>Roll stats>Final drop.
What does this mean?
Kill>Item is rolled as a 2h mace or axe>rarity is rolled as unique>you get barbarian weapon with stats rolled.
Why doesn’t this affect your druid loot? Because it rolled as a 2H Axe or Mace, which Druids don’t have a unique of in the first place, which means it would have just been a white/blue/yellow otherwise.
Now, if it was Kill>roll item type (helm)>roll rarity unique and it ends up being a Barbarian helm, that’s different! Different because then it could have potentially been a druid helm but is skewed to have barbarian loot in the roll table! That’s a problem, sure, more potential options!
But it isn’t like that. How many barbarian non-2h uniques have you gotten? Dunno about you, but mine have all been 2h hammers and axes.

So you just used up your “luck” to roll a unique as we’ll call it rolling a item you cant use. this issue should be fixed asap w. a hot fix but seeing as how we are a month in and nothing… its disheartening

Not really, because somewhere in those rolls it still has to roll for item type. 2h mace / axe / staff.
If it rolls 2h mace / axe to begin with, then you already missed the staff roll and the potential chance for the rarity roll to roll unique.
May I know the source of this information? That the loot works like this?
Are we 100% sure that uniques are rolled like that and not as an indivual drop chance due it being an unique item? Like, for example, wow item drops.

I like your reasoning but as far as I know no Barbarians are ending up with Druid unique weapons so I do not think your loot table resolution is accurate. I think there is a chance for unique and then that table is rolled against, for all unique items.

You’re right, they aren’t. It’s a smart loot bug for Druid specifically. There is a minor minor MINOR chance for other classes to get non-class uniques, Druid smart loot 2h maces and axes are just a little borked to roll Barbarian items. That’s really all it is.
Lopes, I’d have to dig deep for the roll priorities system, but a general wiki on loot 2.0 from D3’s “Smart Loot” is how D4’s loot system works -

I get that you’re frustrated, but you already know it’s a combination of RNG and the already known bug.
except there’s more than one bug, it’s confirmed that tempest roar bugs and only drops t4 since that last update as per blizz twitter account.
Desirable loot only drops in harder difficulty doesn’t sound like a bug to me, but I understand. Even so, that doesn’t have anything to do with the Barbarian weapons.
No, it’s a bug, and confirmed by devs. Tempest roar drop rate is skewed.

Amazing insight, thank god you confirming my statement and alluding to a solution where you farm t4 for roar is the required action when before the info was that vasily AND roar can drop in t3.
