So with my char from this season (sub optimal weapon) but other items are 12/12 masterworked with double crit masterworking upgrades where its needed. My char has 78.5% max res, a fair amount of DR and 51k hp… my skeleton warriors were dying fast (not a problem) but I was getting 1 shot from the arthir mini bosses on wave 9/10. They were also complete damage sponges requiring several minutes each to be killed once all other trash/elites were dead.
as it stands anything that is slightly sub meta has no chance on these bosses at max difficulty… god only knows what the boss fight is like! Also only +2 resurrections. I also think this is a garanteed hardcore char Rip’er.
I really want to build a char that utilizes both skeletal mages and warriors… but i will never be able to go so off meta and still be able to do the hardest content that offers the best rewards. I understand you cannot climb pit tiers with off meta builds, but as long as you can farm 100-130 you effectively get the same rewards as those doing 150-170, so who cares at that point.
So if we consider the lowest threshold for a “good build” being able to do tormented bosses, tier 8 infernal horde, pit 120, uber lilith… yeah its meta or go home.
lets hope this is rebalanced for good builds with good gear, not meta builds with perfect gear.

I’m avoiding the ptr because I don’t want to become jaded toward s5 based on how bad things appear to be right now. It seems it just avoided going through QA all together before they release it to beta testers.
I really hope they buff necros considerably based on information like this.
I clear T8 on hardcore. No problem. You are doing something wrong. Your life is softcore-ish. How to survive? 100k+ life, fortify, 100% uptime barrier. How to clear in 15 min? 100M+ DPS

Any build with 70k+ and bonestorm will never die in T8, but no one wants to spend 15mins on the last boss. So how about calming down and be constructive rather then attempting to brag in a 2 month old PTR post with your fully decked out char on live

Show me Tier 8 clear on hardcore. I see only 3 videos. 2 of me and 1 of wudijo. Now go have fun with the softcore babies. I am not even playing the seasonal broken meta. Sorry. I did not see this is PTR post. On PTR was even easier, because you can get everything faster.
