Tier 68 - Sorceress Chain Lightning after Nerfs Patch 1.1.0a (UPDATE)
The malignant hearts are the only reason to try S1. Do you see any reason to roll a lit sorc there? I probably wouldn’t roll anything there now anyway, but just checking to be sure.

There might be possibilities with chain lightning in s1 with the hearts. It’s something I’m curious to see how it will work out, but depends on testing.
The majority of this vid showing NMD 51 to 54, there is 1 run at beginng for 68.
The Tier 68 is from start till 1:40 min.
If you’re okay with being significantly tankier and are willing to reroll damage reduction everywhere you can, dump Raiment, and run 50-ish…it’s still viable and you’ll probably have a good time. Nothing above 70 is likely to be viable without significant retooling unless the hearts end up being totally OP and build out synergies we haven’t considered yet.
If I weren’t planning to play the season and just intended to play Eternal Realm and keep on building a character there, I’d probably take the summer off and then see how BG3 and Starfield ultimately fall out. lol.

Is going to be a struggle for us for sure, but if you are a sorc fan I’d say is worth. Some hearts looking interesting. Can only see more when we get our hands on them 
With the nerfs to survivability, going for max dmg reduction just seems pointless. Sorc was already super squishy before the patch, and did low dmg.
You’re suggesting gimping the class even more to try to get back to the level of squishiness we were at pre-patch?
Looks interesting. Can you level 1-50 with this build? Or is this end game only? If endgame only would you have to wait till 80 or so?
I think is too tanky for leveling, plus you won’t have access to paragon and also mana issues. I will use Chain Lightning for leveling too, and upload during season my lvling builds for 0-50, 50-70, 70-100. I will try post my 0-30 lvling CL before season start tomorrow, now I’m still make testing in Eternal server with new char sorc.
I’m in no way suggesting gimping the class. I’m making the point that if you’re willing to accept the fact that you’re going to have to sacrifice damage affixes for dr affixes to make up for the huge armor nerf, then you’ll be able to run mid-tier endgame content safely and you’ll probably have a good time…if that’s all you’re concerned about.
Sorcs are still going to be running 40s reasonably cleanly regardless of build, assuming the Suppressor bug gets fixed. And we may see a buff to damage with the hearts – unknown factor at this point, really, and contingent upon build. But if you’re just planning on playing your character on the Eternal Realm? You’ll either reconfigure your gear…or you’ll just die…even more than you did before. lol.
You can lvl 1 - 50 with almost any build. It’s the end game which sorcerer falls off a cliff compared to other classes.
