While extremely disappointed with the nerf to Tibault’s Will, honestly I’m not sure these are BIS for most Sorc anymore, especially with pushing into higher content. Here is my personal trade off:
I have pants that have a double greater affix of INT and LIFE. They also have armor, and I have tempered 11% total armor and Barrier Gen on top of that. Further, I can also use aspect of concentration to give me the 20% DR. For my FO/conjurer, how the heck can Tibault’s be better than those pants? My armor goes from 9,107 with 83% dmg reduction to 6,615 with 51% dmg reduction. I cant see how these things are going to work in higher NMD and Pit levels. I dont think the 13% comes close to offsetting the other losses.
You use Tibaults for the damage multiplier, not the defensives.
Also the mana generation. For a mana hungry build like Frozen Orb, I think that’s just as much a consideration as the damage.

I get that-but how the heck can you survive in the first place without those damage mitigators?
I guess the only way is to go back in to the high NMD’s im clearing with no problem before and see.
I use tibault for blizzard build mainly for mana. Even with starless, tal rasha and shako, i still have sever mana issues on bosses.
With blizzard build, you dont need armor or damage reduction. Any hit from a pit boss is a one-shot anyway
I actually dont have the 2 ubers, but mitigated my mana issue by removing Esu’s and getting a pair of Attacks Reduce Evade boots and stacking Meta on them. Now I can use Evade to benefit from Unstoppable and get it reduced to a point where I can almost evade spam after the 2.5s wears off. Well that and then having TP and FS for other Unstoppable powers.
I think this is why you people are getting one-shot in high tier Pits. Although i think you need north of 30k health to not get one shot (from a Barb post I read an article on). The one thing I am dependent on is my Prodigy ring though. 23 mana one.
Seriously though, if life, the crappy armor cap, and DR are the meta for season 4, God bless if your using Tibaults and running higher tier stuff.

Im a blizzard build and at level 90 PIT, not wearing ESU’s really impacts damage.
I actually swapped to an S4 chest because whether I have a legacy chest or a new S4 chest, I get one-shot by the boss regardless. So I opted for a chest that increases my fireshield duration and increased my damage. I believe my health is around 18000 and my armor around 8700. I use the DR aspect that gives me 30% damage reduction by standing underneath my blizzard.
The tricks with blizzard build are ( to get really high damage, stagger early and often,get really high cooldown so that you get maximum uptime with fireshield, and memorize the patterns of the one-shots mechanics: when you see the warning signs for the one shots, TP or Fireshield
