c’mon… this isn’t Call of Duty where all elements of the user interface make thud and glock sounds, perhaps add a paper scroll effect?
The main reason the map overlay was removed in Diablo 4 was because “it made the game less immersive” but constantly opening and closing the map sounds like I’m trying to break open somebody’s car trunk.
I don’t really hear a thud sound from the map, but when my bone golem taunts, there’s a very clear placeholder sound still left over from beta. It’s literally the generic windows error sound.

I find it amusing how with the removal of the map overlay i spend 90% of my game time not looking at the gfx and scenery the devs spent time making, and instead staring at the top right corner of my screen playing what appears to be a game from 1993 where you are a triangle moving through hallways in 2d.
At the very least, they could have the pin path drawn on the game world instead of just the minimap. That way you wouldn’t have to stare at the minimap as you are travelling all over Sanctuary.

You just need to activate your bone golem and listen to all the noises that get made.
I use the iron golem now because hearing the generic windows error sound every 15 seconds made me want to claw my eyes out. I posted about it. Radio silence from Blizzard.
