Those collecting pets are bad - Here is why:

I got the little Tiger, I hardly see it, I do appreciate it picking up the gold and mats.

  • I don’t even notice that there’s a pet on screen. Pupper is small, and the colors blend into everything else.

  • Again, they blend into everything else.

  • Again, they blend into everything else.

  • May as well add loot directly to your character also. 0/10, having to click is too hard, plz refund daddy Blizz. T_T

Yeah, a company added a feature for free and they’ll have MTX for it as well. You’re not obliged to buy any of that MTX, and you got a 100% optional QoL addition for the low low price of Free-Ninety-Free.

And you do not speak for anyone but yourself. Even the loneliest, lowest of hero needs a pet. Look at Omniman.

Im pretty sure that most of the complaining people are just standing around town or sitting in the taverns bored to hell and not playing the game at all.

“Oh look at all the happy wanderers with their small pets. Thats an easy thing to rant about while im feeling bad myself. Its totally breaking my immersion (its you caring about other people too much breaking your brittle immersion).”

Go out of town, do some helltides, pits or dungeons. You wont even notice the small pixels following you. Be cool, be strong, dont let somebody/thing else break your immersion. You can do it.

Yours happy adventurers aaaaaand cute animals
:tiger: :cat: :dog: <—

Now even pets are bad??:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Pro whiners are active since VoH announcment.

Is OP for real? I barely notice the pet in town, and dont notice it at all when in killing stuff.

It’s completely up to you to get or not a pet. You can remove it and play the game alone)

  • You can always choose to not equip it…

  • barely noticeable at times, and has no health bar

  • It does a decent job of collecting gold and stuff

  • its a money grab microtransaction, welcome to Live Service games.

How do you disable it?

THIS! I’d be ok with the functionality of the pets, or if they were more “battle-ready”, angry wolves or something.
Cute dogs and cats, no matter how adorable, have nothing to do with the Diablo universe & gritty atmosphere, a huge reason D4 was a success. It’s like they are backtracking into D3 whimsical territory.
I think the problem is that you are “forced” to use a pet if you want the gold pickup, etc. Which breaks the atmosphere and immersion. This is Diablo, not WOW (and please not Diablo 3 again).

No one is forcing to you use a pet to pickup gold. its a QOL slight improvement. Besides, the gold that drops is basically chump change compared to completing whispers and selling gear.

I can guarantee that one of the contributing factors for the pets is to decrease server load/server stability by having less stuff stay on the ground.

We need a downvote button. The pets are awesome. Really looking forward to rare unique ones dropping from random stuff.

I ran a bunch of stuff after getting my dog. Within about 3 minutes, I forgot he even existed until we got back to town.

People are really going out of their way to hate on this.

I’m fine with pets but given the monetized mtx system it’s only a matter of time before you’re in town and your screen is saturated by dragon pets, epic wings, giant portals, elephant mounts etc etc. Best get mentally prepared.

If you can play the game and get past minions, you can get past pets.

I think its perfectly ok for them to add pets to sell us different ones in the shop. WE earn one in game and I would even be for pets having passives and abilities as long as a version is earnable in game so no P2W.

That being said the cutesy pets are an issue. WE should have better themed pets here like hell hounds, mimics, mini goblins ect.
