I am not saying its not a little messed up, but bugs happen.
Honestly if I hadn’t been on social media, or here, I would have never known anything was going on. It still doesn’t impact me, or others, it still doesn’t really matter to anyone else barring the few try hards repeatedly screaming about it.
From what I understand, it wasnt even an exploit, it was a bunch of people running in and…opening a chest? oh no! They did something that was in place. now granted a tiny group of people you will never know, and never have impact your gameplay, or your life have something you dont. Was it a bug? Maybe. Was it intended? Prolly not.
But is it game breaking? No. Why? Because they are not you, in your game, they cannot bother you in your game. Having a Shako doesnt automatically make them “good”.
It can affect anyone that fights them in PvP. Pretend you actually play the game for a moment here. Let’s say you fight them and they have their Shako with + 4 skills and 10-20% extra DR on your character. Say you do okay in PvP against them but lose by about 20% life each time b/c their character hits a lot harder and is tankier due to their super Shako.
Do you just say “well, it doesn’t affect me, it must not be the exploited Shako he has…it’s not the Shako…it’s not the Shako!” as you are beaten over and over?
This game is not balanced around pvp, and never will be. And no, it still wont affect me. Even without shako people can still murder you. 142 people out of millions will not change the gameplay. Get real.
A bug that gets abused is no different than using an exploit being abused. Blizzard isn’t to blame, nor are the people who opened them. I blame the streamers for their lack of forethought which led to this. Maybe add some ToS for those incredibly “genuine” streamers. Keep blaming Blizzard when it was actually on the subset of players to report the issue instead of abusing it.
Is PvP all you care about? Is a HOTA barb without a shaco or with a shaco going to not 1-tap you regardless? I’ve already made a post about balancing PvP and the majority of players do not care. The developers said PvP will never be balanced.
So is it just about the selected few who PvP and instead of being 2-tap now you’re gonna be 1-tap? I’m straight up curious.
PvP has been straight garbage in D4. You’re saying one helm will make a difference?
Yeah, but the thing is…you dont get to decide that for people who do find enjoyment out of it. PVP area is pretty fun place to hang out. If you’re sub lvl100 you could spectate and farm in peace if you felt like it.
3 weeks into the game you’d think blizzard would have some decency and common sense and rollback the items
instead they are a bunch of dopes… rewarding players for watching streamers during patch days… everyone will just play during patch days because they expect blizzard to do something dumb and get rewarded for it
if an item is 1/800,000 unique drops or whatever, they shouldn’t be handed out like candy because blizzard is too lazy or incompetent to test their changes
