Why make the same mistake?
The writing is on the wall. Please don’t allow gold trading please Blizzard.

if gold and some sacred/ancient items of any kind (we don’t have any info on that , for now we only now regular rare) are tradeable that’s what going to happen , and it’s merely the tip of the iceberg.
How am I going to pay the winners of my tournaments when Blizzard implements the Duel Mode for 1v1 fights?
did the ingame cutscenes show other players in d4? cant remember. If yes, this is what we get.
My man is on like his 3rd thread about open trading lol
Spam happy huh?
My man can’t stand good feedback. Lol
Unhappy huh?
I highly doubt it will be this bad. Gold is easy enough to get, rares are easy enough to get, and leveling is easy. Once you have beaten the campaign once, you’ll get the Adventure mode unlocked for future characters and it will be even easier.
I don’t see it being a major problem.
You want to know why this stuff exists? Cause you people buy it!
Here is a simple solution and by all means I am no crazy wicked smart scientist… You know you could just block and report so you don’t see it.
Lets break down something then huh…
Diablo 2 - Had numerous bots running chaos and baal and amongst other areas… What was the currency for that game? Oh Right high runes and some unid uniques. Gold was useless in that game other than for repairs… ps still has spammers selling accounts and JSP gold…
Diablo 3 - Oh Lord where do I even begin with this one… RMT in the auction house was a huge problem with gold sellers. Eventually though I believe they disabled gold trading and dropping was disabled. The gold sellers fell off quickly once the Real Money Auction House was shut down.
There are Pro’s and Con’s to the scenario if you take a look at the bigger picture. If you are worried about people selling gold and seeing those spam messages that’s just a minor problem / annoyance which like I stated before just block and report. A big problem is when people can purchase it out right and just re roll / upgrade gear faster and bypass the gold grind…
Lets make a hypothetical scenario… Gold trading / dropping is completely disabled. However there happens to be specific items (rare / yellow) out there that are worth X amount of gold when sold to a merchant and can be traded or dropped for other people. Those items now become the “gold” which means the sellers still have other methods to achieve their end goal its just an extra step along the way.
Sure you may think a problem is fixed, but they will find other ways of achieving what they want. What they need to do is keep a good pulse on the issue and actively do something immediately instead of waiting for it to get out of control and make a post about how they banned over x amount of accounts for this reason.
just a little reminder of how blizzard handled that. Your ignore list was capped to 20 people. Means it is impossible to shut down those advertisements, after it was full. Or do you wanna constantly update your ignore list, deleting the oldest bot accounts while adding the newer ones to the list. What a fun little side activity.
Thats a blizzard problem that they capped it… Personally i could care less of the messages im here to play the game not read chat.
One part of the problem are bots and gold/item sellers but the other big part of the problem are the lazy and useless players that swipes a card promoting that.
There’s no selling without the buyer.
But they aren’t tradeable. So it’s fear mongering.
I dont see a problem with trading here.
I see a problem with blizzard not giving a crap about botting here.
So thanks OP for letting people know that they can now Bot without any repercussions. So instead of bots selling gear, people can now just straight out bot the gear themselves.
Thanks for the information!
Lmao nice try buddy
yes, thats exactly how its going to be. The chinese will steal thousands of credit cards with the sole purpose of spamming chat for a few minutes before getting automatically flagged.
That has to be the best use of resources for marketing that i have ever seen. you really should offer your ideas to their business.
No to trading. People that are pro-trading are usually the ones that stand to profit from lazy, worthless players that want to buy their way to the end and convince others they done it on their own.
yes to trade. People who don’t want to trade simply are skill issued boomers that want to unga bunga dungeons all day and can’t stand the fact that some players are just better at acquiring gear by gathering currency.
See how easy it is to say the same thing for the other side?
I love hearing these arguments it’s like 10/10 comedy
DoggyDog, your argument doesn’t hold water. Go back to D2 and keep making your money there.
