I wonder if any arpg has ever allowed you to change appearance of dungeons and mobs? Imagine they go crazy with that concept and we could even make our own custom dungeon layouts for D4 and the community could create content.

If they don’t infest the dungeons with Jamba Cultists, I’m done.

I would fill my dungeon with blacksmiths.

Loot and material piñata, XP galore and high chance of a spark at the end of each lol.

Removing difficulty scaling from nightmare dungeons was one of the stupidest moves they’ve done so far. Whatever they’re planning now, it can only get better.

I have a good idea for NMDs. Have some kind of mat we can use to craft a Dungeon with a specific difficulty, on par with Pit tiers. NMDs of tiers 1 to 100 or 1 to 150. Everyone loves the Pit and is asking for higher difficulty content.

Well to be fair in my view at least I like the boss changes this season and don’t mind the immunity between phase shifts. Also mostly okay with the 1/2 shotting abilities of harder ubers.
I think it contradicts their stance on wanting us to live that power fantasy of just destroying enemies. Which they’ve noted in several live streams, campfires, etc. “We want you to fulfill that power fantasy of just being a bad-A” summarized of course, but that’s basically what they’ve been saying. So to add in multiple immunity phases for these bosses just seems rather counter intuitive to that.

Yeah maybe there could be a type of mechanic that once you hit a certain power threshold you can stun or interrupt their normal immunities and just nuke them. That could be a rewarding compromise, but it might detract from the typical Diablo design.
I figure if you are powerful enough to make the enemy go from max health to zero in a short period of time that is the ultimate power fantasy, and I have no issue with it being that way. D2 and D3 pretty much had that without these restrictions of having to sit around and wait for them to become vulnerable again.
So if the goal is promote efficiency and killing in mass, the whole idea of having to wait just seems counter intuitive to me is all. Plenty of timer gated activities in this game as is, they just keep adding more on top of it. Currently we’re proving we can dance while we wait.

They let the players do that with Belial who is now the Pinnacle Boss of the game (with Lilith).

True and I guess that was the compromise. The other bosses are more optional as Belial lets you select your boss reward.
Gotta love how we got all our hopes hyped up af lol inb4 they made dungeons instead of Obducite drop 1 random set item on a boss kill in T4
