This Game Needs WT5+

They continually made this same mistake for the entire life of D3 and never learned their lesson. They need to make the game’s hardest difficulty reflect the power that heroes are capable of reaching. The game is only a month old and players have already reached power levels that completely trivialize WT4. Helltides, World Bosses, and Legion events are so easy at high levels that it only adds to the monotony and tediousness of doing them. When content becomes facerollish, it also becomes boring. It makes no sense that the only challenge the game provides is high tier nightmare dungeons, while the entire rest of the game’s world becomes obsolete. Why would they design the game so that 95% of the game’s content get’s shelved and nightmare dungeons become the sole narrow focus of the end-game?

100% need wt5.
and crafting, set items, boss runs that are fun, targeted looting, a 1v1 pvp mechanic, a trade hub that’s server wide, chat that works, uniques that are obtainable and different mounts that aren’t just horse recolours.

I think wt5 would be nice as long the gear makes it worth it, and we don’t keep getting sacred and ancestral drops as well as whatever wt5 drops are called. Plus, I might actually pay rw money for a horse if it went faster, or had unlimited gallops, or something. But I’m certainly not paying for a horse that simply looks different

You could put 2000 endgame activities in and people will do 1 or 2 of them, the ones with the most rewards/exp per hour spent doing them.

Nah example adding fishing to other games with minimal rewards proves this wrong tons of people spend hours doing. people just want more things to do in the universe they love. I’m not saying add fishing for the love of god just add more. Game feels like anthem right now beautifully done, little to do.

I fish in other games because there’s a purpose, achievements, crafting, cooking, selling to players.

If that’s all added too then sure.

I can’t stand the endgame in D4. Little to no exp, rewards, fun.

Definitely need WT V and beyond. Why not have it scale to WT 100. The difficulty equal to NM dungeon lvl 100.

It’ll come later on.

I think D3 was maybe Torment 6 when it dropped and ended at 16 so we have some time. It all feels so vanilla here even though there are things to do if you aren’t a gotta get it done right now lol

For the rest of us, hopefully Torment 2 drops Season 2.

Good luck out there!

By the end of D3, T16 was so easy that you could clear a T16 rift in the same time you could clear a T1 rift. Everything melts the moment it comes in view. Since they never fixed it, and since WT4 suffers the same problem, it seems that they don’t even acknowledge the problem.

Agreed.

I’m sure this will be the same way in 10 years so in a way it’s kind of cool to be mad about lol.

Nonetheless, higher tiers would be nice so even the open world could be a challenge instead of slogging through the same rotation of end game stuff. Feels weird that they put so much into the open world but didn’t really beef it up any in terms of wanting to live in it. Now it’s just sigil>port>loot>port, rinse, repeat….

Good luck!

Well, a counter point would be the game is only a month old. Maybe they have T5 difficulties and other things planned for future seasons?

there was WT5 in closed beta, they just remove it and add later as “live service”

They do, but it’s an insult the end game is lacking. They removed world tier 5 just so they could add it back later and be like here’s more content ? Why not release the full game instead of removing a ton of stuff from the universe that was already in place years prior that players loved? Can’t go to hell ? No crafting ? No boss runs ? No sets ? No trade hub? I get the live service model but to release it so bare bones compared to what could have been done fairly easily is annoying.

Yes, agree. Wt5. But I think even wt5 is mayby not enough to solve this issue… World content is like 1hit as soon as you go around lvl80. Maybe Wt5 enter at lvl80 will partially solve this issue. But as soon as you reach lvl100 everything will be 1hit again if wt5 scales like the previous 4.

Now rising the world tier higher and higher like D3 is not the way to go. Nobody wants to see torment 1000. I don’t believe it suites this game mostly because it’s open world.

In my opinion we don’t even need world tiers at all. Just better scaling of the difficulty adjasment. The mobs scales with you level anyway! I cannot understand why a level 1 character need 10 hits to kill a level 1 monster, and same time a level 100 characters is able to kill 10 lvl100 monsters with 1 hit. It should be something similar. The scaling of character power in contrast with the scaling of monster power is just bad.

I hear you, but I also feel D4 released with enough content worth the price tag. I’ve put enough hours into it on a single character that would be comparable to me buying a single player game for the same price tag.
