This game is boring

  • Endless running everywhere during the campaign.
  • Statues of Lilith are impossible to find without a map or spending ungodly amounts of time, which offers such little reward that everybody’s just going to use a map on some website anyway
  • Once you hit level 50 everything grinds to a halt. Nightmare dungeons barely give 1/3 of a bar in XP at 50, and then exponentially less every level
  • Tree of whispers items are 99.99% of the time not an upgrade
  • More endless running to nightmare dungeons once you start doing those
  • All classes feel like wet noodles, especially sorcerers.
  • Generator/Spender mechanic doesn’t even work like in D3. Basic skills barely generate any resource and you literally just wait for your bar to fill up.
  • Right click for a Core skill doesn’t work if you don’t have resource, not even a basic attack. Your character just stands there instead and does nothing.
  • 80% of mobs have some kind of CC. Staring at my rogue laying on the ground for 2 seconds while everybody just pummels me is SO much fun. Oh and then he gets up and gets frozen for 2 seconds again. Fun!
  • Same boss reused for 60% of dungeons. Nice.
  • Speaking of dungeons, it’s always the same thing. Always the same mobs, always the same objectives.
  • Everything that’s fun is already being nerfed, instead of buffing everything else.
  • For some reason, devs are so precious about making leveling as tedious as possible and call this “end game”.
  • Oh, you thought your map, altar and stronghold progression would share across all your characters, especially new alts that skipped the campaign? That’s cute!
  • Everything is made so you play the game alone. Tiny party size, anemic party bonuses, power leveling is just made complicated for no reason.
  • Everybody is forced in an MMO-esque world and lag spikes are commonplace because I absolutely need to see this random guy’s special mount for the 0.5 seconds that he zooms by my screen, probably just floating because the game couldn’t load the asset in time anyway.
  • I killed Lilith at level 40, but this dinky little skeleton takes 10 basic skill shots and 2 ultimates to kill at level 61.

Nice graphics though.

Moar!:

  • You thought you’d have a cube to work with? nope!
  • Set items? lol. Have fun waiting for an expansion pack for those.
  • The entire game is riddled with art that has runes everywhere, yet runes and runewords are nowhere to be found. Have fun in the future with 2-rune runewords considering nothing has more than 2 sockets.

Id trade lilith statues and paragon stat points for stat point distribution on level up in a heartbeat.

I totally agree. This game has become a slogfest. It was so fun during the betas and absolutely loved my Blood Mist/CE Necro. But, that got nerfed along with every other fun build. It seems they’re more worried about player being overpowered rather than fixing the lag/rubber banding issues. My time in sanctuary may be nearing it’s end.

It is, absolutely, people who don’t agree have become addicted to the content loop that most of the world is on.

They just want CONTENT, new CONTENT.

They don’t give a single s**t if that content is actually good, or fun, or worth their time. Just as long as its new.

Path of Exile 2 is going to dominate.

There can be a content loop, the problem here is that the loop is so tight that the repeats are being felt way too often.

What if they were an upgrade every other time? How could this even be done? In order to get around RNG just giving people the best gear early on, they would have to limit RNG to progressively get better for people as the season goes on. That sounds awful. It would mean all progression is artificial and on a railroad.

I feel like people don’t think when they complain about certain things. There’s a lot that needs fixing, but you can’t make a game like this and then ensure that you get upgrades often after playing a long time.

The motivation should be building different builds and getting different items for different classes. A better solution would be for them to just have an option to turn off smart loot, or something like that. And then open up trading completely.

If it wasn’t diablo it would already be in the bargain bin at your local gamestop.

Totally agree your point. And I feel less incentive to keep to lv 100 at this moment.

Honestly, I like play D3 more than 4… and this game not Diablo now.

Everything is done so whatever change you do to your character, you’ll be penalized.

Wanna try another build? You’ll have to pay x amount of gold just to reset your skills!

We don’t even have a horadric cube in the game. THE big “Diablo thing” since D2. And there’s nothing of the sort. No runes to build your own gear, no cube and no cube recipes, nothing! I get all the RNG stuff, trust me, but when you offer no other option for players other than getting their items through RNG, it gets boring. FAST. D4 feels like a downgrade.
