This game has almost melted my GPU twice!

why not? amazing card tbh. this beta is the only questionable experience ive had with the card so i assume it’s on blizzard’s hands.

idk what that would change. your machines gonna output what it can without damaging anything even if it cant reach the 150 max. it could be all the way to 400 and that’s not a risk. what i find weird is that theres no way to NOT set a max.
have to pick between 18 and 400 without option for uncapped. thats just weird.

why even have an ingame frame limiter when the drivers’ limiter is superior and causes less input lag? ingame frame limiter forced on in 2023 lul

I played a game with 970m and it was stuttering and lagging just in a few areas, and I still wonder if that was on my end or the fact that I played with other players nearby.

The 3080ti is basically a worse 3090 with a ton of problems like what you’re experiencing now. Should’ve done better research before buying…

i recently had to replace my power supply for something a bit beefier ,as this is exactly what was happenig in a lot of newer modern games ,

just something the melted 3080s not too long ago on another game. dont let default be uncap fps and should solve it hopefully

why wouldnt the 3090 be better than a 3080ti? makes sense to me. like i said never had any issues with the card until this BETA thats not live yet. not one.

blissful gaming at 1440p 165hz everything maxxed, normally.

imagine having a different experience in a game that recommends a 970 lul

It’s all these Gigabyte 30 series cards, not EVGA. EVGA is (was) king. I’m going to miss them, and I hope they kiss and make up with nVidia.

I’m saying the 3080ti is a total scam for its price.

in town my RTX3090 2K almost 100% usage… FPS to 144 no spin is not possible.
you are using 1080P??

in D3 my RTX3090 almost 50-60% use only …

This game is super light on the GPU, runs 120fps without breaking a sweat on a crappy 1660.

Whatever is going on… is probably some kind of configuration problem on your PC.

The stutter and lag is almost certainly due to the bad netcode.

60fps is so 2001.

People game at 120-240fps these days.

i see a lot of ppl with lower end cards having good experiences. not getting the 45 extra gb hi-rez texture pack might be why? idk.

my graphics were maxed with my old 1080 still going strong. not going to upgrade until it bricks on me

I am running 1660 super high settings and getting 115 fps at 1080p–I do not game at higher resolutions due to vision issues but am perfectly happy with the performance I get

same. im blind in 1 eye and poor vision in the other so i stay at 60 fps which is what my moniter can do

This is a you problem.
No software aside from overclocking gone wrong can destroy your PC.
If you don’t have the right setup and right cooling, then it’s just a matter of time before it does.

I run 4k @ 60fps full details with a 2080 and my GPU idles while my CPU doesn’t go over 40C.

If your GPU is going in to meltdown and you have a 3080 you’ve done something terribly wrong with your setup.

Supposedly there is a thread on Reddit with this happening to other 3080 TI folk. May be more of a manufacturer issue with Gigabyte.

Really? I thought that would forever be the ‘standard’. I know people can do higher that 120fps haven’t seen people talk about 120+ being a standard. I’ve seen folks complain about some games being limited to below 60 though in some individual games. BUT I think those are more console cats or ports.

It’s possible they’re not cooled well.
But my GPU does so little that the fans on my radiators don’t even come on.

Unless you’re running 2 or 3 clients simultaneously, doing some streaming/video conversion and/or running in 8k multi monitor i can’t see how a 3080 could even get close to overheating.

But if it does, it’s not the games fault.

Anyone that plays on a TV is limited to 60. I have a 49" Sony Bravia connected to my PC.

It’s a quarter of the price of an equivalent 30" 4k monitor. 120fps is nice and everything, but until you can get a 49" or higher 4k monitor for a few hundred $, I’ll stick with the best TV that size money can buy for a fraction of the cost of a monitor whose only + is a better framerate.
