why not? amazing card tbh. this beta is the only questionable experience ive had with the card so i assume it’s on blizzard’s hands.
idk what that would change. your machines gonna output what it can without damaging anything even if it cant reach the 150 max. it could be all the way to 400 and that’s not a risk. what i find weird is that theres no way to NOT set a max.
have to pick between 18 and 400 without option for uncapped. thats just weird.
why even have an ingame frame limiter when the drivers’ limiter is superior and causes less input lag? ingame frame limiter forced on in 2023 lul
I played a game with 970m and it was stuttering and lagging just in a few areas, and I still wonder if that was on my end or the fact that I played with other players nearby.
why wouldnt the 3090 be better than a 3080ti? makes sense to me. like i said never had any issues with the card until this BETA thats not live yet. not one.
blissful gaming at 1440p 165hz everything maxxed, normally.
imagine having a different experience in a game that recommends a 970 lul
I am running 1660 super high settings and getting 115 fps at 1080p–I do not game at higher resolutions due to vision issues but am perfectly happy with the performance I get
This is a you problem.
No software aside from overclocking gone wrong can destroy your PC.
If you don’t have the right setup and right cooling, then it’s just a matter of time before it does.
I run 4k @ 60fps full details with a 2080 and my GPU idles while my CPU doesn’t go over 40C.
If your GPU is going in to meltdown and you have a 3080 you’ve done something terribly wrong with your setup.
Supposedly there is a thread on Reddit with this happening to other 3080 TI folk. May be more of a manufacturer issue with Gigabyte.
Really? I thought that would forever be the ‘standard’. I know people can do higher that 120fps haven’t seen people talk about 120+ being a standard. I’ve seen folks complain about some games being limited to below 60 though in some individual games. BUT I think those are more console cats or ports.
It’s possible they’re not cooled well.
But my GPU does so little that the fans on my radiators don’t even come on.
Unless you’re running 2 or 3 clients simultaneously, doing some streaming/video conversion and/or running in 8k multi monitor i can’t see how a 3080 could even get close to overheating.
Anyone that plays on a TV is limited to 60. I have a 49" Sony Bravia connected to my PC.
It’s a quarter of the price of an equivalent 30" 4k monitor. 120fps is nice and everything, but until you can get a 49" or higher 4k monitor for a few hundred $, I’ll stick with the best TV that size money can buy for a fraction of the cost of a monitor whose only + is a better framerate.
